Anyone recommend me a new tv?

  1. £800 is my limit so not much chance of me getting that!

Thanks for that. I really do like the sound of that one but I have looked everywhere & can't seem to find out if the remote control is normal or magic. I really want a normal remote control.

You get two remotes with it.

    One typical, standard type
One is a smart remote that tries to work with everything. It kinda works for me. It's not perfect, but ive never used the other one.

Pm me an email address, if you want photos?
  4. Thanks very much, pm sent.

Have a look at richer sounds. Competitive prices and 6 year warranty.

    Dont get a bendy one.

A flat screen that is as big as the room can handle and you are sorted.

Simple things like picture quality, image processing. They're sometimes poor in cheap ones from what I've seen.

Thought that was a joke these days?

Cnet and trustedreviews for me. And then avforums.

not bad got Dolby Vision and HDR10 but lag is 48 ms mine is 21ms, depends how geeky/picky he is :D

    and mine's(ks7000) black not grey

However, contrast is limited by an IPS panel, which only produces greyish looking blacks and limits dynamic range in mixed contrast scenes. However, viewing angles are generous and this makes the display more suitable for off-axis viewing.

A £400 telly in two years time will have something yours lacks I bet.

Very possibly. Then I've still spent £800-1000 overall, although I'd have a 2 year old telly to sell on for £200. So not a huge saving really.
Plus, I do actually watch 10bit HDR content today, just not all the time

Sorry, can't easily find any impartial reviews of it.

Go with Samsung if you want reliability.

Be careful with this thought. Like I said above it's not a true 10bit panel. It's 8bit with 10bit processing/dithering.

The Samsung ks7000 is better OP, don't be fooled!
