Anyone else than Sean dyche or keano for sentimentality and I’m not going back
Keano would be an horrendous attempt to appease the fans a la Defoe. The Keane/Defoe saga, and how it almost went wrong, followed by the pragmatic but ultimately successful signing of Neil should teach us not to go down that path again.

Looking at the positives.

He got you out of league one and you have a side that IMO can complete in the championship.

Now hypothetically, if you were a championship side and your manager had left and you appointed Alex Neil, I've no doubt it would be all a bit meh to most fans, as he is hardly a world beater and goes stale after a while.

Hopefully you will appoint someone who can take the club forward. There are many managers out there that would love to manage Sunderland, especially now your back in the championship.

I’m fuming now like

He’s got us promoted with his coaching and it looks like speakman is running the shoe as top don

I just can’t get behind a model in which the manager isn’t head honcho, sorry,

If it’s a done deal already it’s been in the pipeline a while. Therefore Speakman should have his ducks in a row, but knowing him it will be Daffy, yes the poster off here not the cartoon character
Not according to the statement mate. They were hoping he would stay couple hrs ago, even tho it was well documented he was going.
