If it’s a done deal already it’s been in the pipeline a while. Therefore Speakman should have his ducks in a row, but knowing him it will be Daffy, yes the poster off here not the cartoon character
The Oatcake fanzine were tracking Coates’ helicopter up to Newcastle airport early in the week

The new owners and board have had 1 full season in charge and got us promoted. They have been excellent in the transfer market and only appointed one manager to date who was a success.

Why all the negativity now. Players and managers are going to come and go, it's how they respond that's crucial.

So far they've done an excellent job, so what's not to say they're going to continue to do that.

After the Coventry game Neil was getting pelters for his tactics and subs, now he's irreplaceable.

We'll be fine man!

I don't agree with that at all tbh, if he's leaving because of a policy he knew about then its poor.
Who's to say KLD didn't give him assurances when he signed that should we go up there will be substantial investment. Obviously hasn't been.

Still sat here with virtually the same team as last season barring a couple.

Tell ya what mind he's full of shit saying he's leaving because he wasn't backed. We have several moves lined up and brought in some great young talent which is the same club policy he took the job on with.

He's going for job security and money.
But are all those players that we have brought in the ones he asked for ? I suspect that some of those signings were not what he, or the first team squad, need.

Look how long it took Sunderland to fill the job after Johnson and stoke have come in and pipped an employed managed in 4 days…..

not buying the we didn't back him like

we're absolutely doing the right thing with our current transfer approach and I'm confident we'll get the players we need before the window closes

what did AN want? piss away money on mercenaries like we have the past?

it's a cop out if that's his reasoning

It's disappointing, he got us promoted but for balance -

His tactics in the 2nd half v Coventry were awful, game management against QPR was shambolic, first half v Stoke was dreadful, first half v Sheff Utd was a shit show and Bristol City could have gone either way.

The play off and Wembley were great and thanks for that but we move on.

Nobody is bigger then SAFC.
