Allocated pubs

21 years ago we drank in what was a pub converted from an old post office within minutes of the ground - probably long gone in the concrete 'new city' going up around Wembley.

Edit: apparently now 'Liquor Station' on Wembley High Street.

We ended up leaving the fan zone and going into the Wembley Hilton for a beer. They let anyone in who had a valid match ticket and was good atmosphere in there apart from
£6 a pint

Wasn't a match day but had a canny day in the corner house just on the main road, not too expensive either

Were any of the pubs we got allocated last time any good, likes of the Torch etc? We drank round Baker Street and it was canny with a decent atmosphere but we don’t know if we fancy a change. We might even do both, so one less around Baker Street then instead of tube to Wembley Park and then straight to ground, having a pint in one of our allocated pubs then go to the ground - it wasn’t good for the old bladder going straight from Baker Street to the ground with that tube ride.

Cans on Wembley way before the match purchased well away from Wembley. Hopefully a few in box park after if we get it. If not it’ll be £6 pints in the Wembley Tavern’s shit hole of a beer garden.

The lack of bogs is shocking mind but always has been. You’d think they’d wheel out a load of portaloos for such occasions.
