Wow. Do they get the same parachute payments as last relegation or is it less. Seems they may be in a spot of bother financially
I think it might be less because wasn't there something with a club who went down (might have been Leicester) then came straight back up, so they dished out more of their parachute money to the clubs in the league?

Eventually they'll stop coming back up straight away. It might be next time. Then it'll be super hard for them to come back, without parachute payments and the revenues of a big championship club.

If Scott Parker wasn't English and a media darling he'd be getting ripped apart by the pundits. But not a word.
It’s always the case with lads local to London. If you grew up in London outside of poverty you have a spectacular advantage in life. Lay people have unbelievable job and networking opportunities and because the MSM are all traditionally based there it’s almost like you get the local hero treatment if you become famous
They are absolutely screwed the first season they go down and dont come back up straight away. Just dont see how they'll be able to cover their debt costs. Leveraged buy outs really shouldnt be allowed in football.
Yanks don’t understand English football. This is why they want rid of relegation. They can’t comprehend footballing merit being rated above making money for the owners. The reason for wage caps etc in the USA sports are all about maximising profit for the owners nothing to do with competitiveness

Parachute monies are received for each of 3 years from relegation. So when a club comes straight back up,they won't receive that 2nd year parachute money which is redistributed amongst the premiership. Burnley,as with all relegated Premier clubs, will still receive the normal 65% of premiership handout to a relegated club.

Not a market town, really... it's the archetypal Lancashire mill town, now devoid of most of its working mills. Proud little town and decent folk.
And they were a good top-flight side through most of the 1960s. Decent players... Jimmy McIlroy, Andy Lochead, Ralph Coates, Willie Morgan to name but a few.
You missed out the great Leighton James who played for Burnley and Sunderland and passed away last year .

Has there ever been a more overrated player and manager than him. [Scott Parker]
Both as a player and a manager the press just bull him up constantly. They and him never say it’s his fault, club owners need to stop get taken in by it, he believes his own hype so badly

i can't get over his interviews, youd have thought someone close to him would have had a word about toning it down

rosenior has a bit of it about him too - trying far too hard to sound intelligent and using words in the wrong places in doing so. hard to watch

pair of them like mick beale in uniqlo hoodies and common projects
