Geertruida

With Diarra back I see absolutely no need for him to be playing there.
Ordinarily not (albeit Hume would be much better when we drop into a back 5 in a low block situation). Would have perhaps expected Diarra to do that job tomorrow if we hadn’t had injuries elsewhere. It’s an attack/defence balance thing. Choose which one you need most for the specific game.

"Won't stand in his way due to the scale of the opportunity" and "no break clause in the deal".

I do appreciate our stance on that when we were in the Championship where we were very much of the view that not blocking PL moves would ultimately encourage more players to come here, but now that we're actually in the PL and losing him makes us lose depth at 3 positions (we obviously won't be signing a PL level RB, CB and CM in January), I'd be a bit more selfish if I were the club here like.

He was brought in to cover afcon if we're being honest. Injuries gave him more minutes. He's a good player and it's a pity but our hands are tied.

RB could possibly be pushing as it indirectly helps Leeds if we're weaker.
How does it indirectly help leeds if we are weaker? It directly helps them

No one can say for sure, hoping its just growing pains, Gerrard had similar back related issues as his body was still maturing. Hopefully for the kids sake he gets over it as he is an amazing talent.

Not that I need to tell you, I mean he propelled you guys to the PL last season with that invaluable loan😆 😉
He takes all the credit for our promotion for being the cheerleader for a few months.

We can't afford to be a soft touch anymore.

In a home game against Burnley there should be no need for us to be dropping into a back 5. If we play Hume with that in mind then it's very conservative.

This isn't just another Premier League move though is it. We laughed at the Mags trying to block a certain striker going there in the summer. We aren't going to be bellends about it throwing our toys out the pram and the statement is pretty clear that we want to make sure we get a replacement in before we let him go.

But I've just spray painted by pissed wet bed sheet to hang up outside the AOL. I feel a bit stupid now...
