100% ... he's a good player but a victim of his versatility. All clubs need his type of player though.
 
Been under-utilised so can’t blame him. It weakens us significantly in 3 positions so will be difficult to replace.

Currently looks a disappointing window in which we have actually weakened the squad. Let’s hope it gets busy on the incomings very very quickly.

Hes a top bloke but just don't think hes up to the rest of the side thats all. Its frustrating if we end up weaker.

Sure we will have been working 24 hours a day this week trying

No one can say for sure, hoping its just growing pains, Gerrard had similar back related issues as his body was still maturing. Hopefully for the kids sake he gets over it as he is an amazing talent.

Not that I need to tell you, I mean he propelled you guys to the PL last season with that invaluable loan😆 😉

Not sure how going to Liverpool solves his playing time issue mind, but it'll be hugely disappointing to lose him as he's a PL level RB, CB and DM. You don't really get versatility like that any more these days, especially not for the widely reported £18m reported fee to make his loan permanent.

Losing one player in Geertruida loses depth for us at 3 positions.

You can't argue with our results, but I do feel he has been underused and it'll be a definite blow to suddenly lose a versatile player like him who we had wrapped up in a bow for an £18m option.

It does explain why he was a no show against West Ham mind as everyone thought it was extremely odd.

He’s definitely been under used, it’s the only issue I’ve had with Reggie this season tbh. Shoehorning Hume into a role when we’ve had a player of his level on the bench has had me scratching my head a few times this season. He is without doubt a very good player a very good age and has a very good pedigree. I’ve just gotta think Reggie doesn’t fancy him for whatever reason. I’d have had him in ahead of Hume in that weird role, I’d have had in him at centre mid ahead of a few especially during afcon. It’s a shame and clearly he’s thought enough of to be wanted by the current champions on paper he should be one of the first names on the teamsheet but Reggie has earned his choices and he’s hasn’t used him as much as I would’ve this season.

He was brought in to cover afcon if we're being honest. Injuries gave him more minutes. He's a good player and it's a pity but our hands are tied.

RB could possibly be pushing as it indirectly helps Leeds if we're weaker.

Given the amount he's appeared and his versatility he'll be a big miss.. no point dressing it up any other way
