Knew we were after a GK, what I was trying to say was, the lad hadn't even been a tenuous link had he? Him specifically being on the verge of signing has come from nowhere.
 
bottom line for me is...has patterson improved in any areas since he was made first team goalkeeper? or has he just plateaued?

if he hasnt improved then we are bound to look elsewhere...this fella looks to be strong in areas Patto is weakest..crosses..how many times have we seen crosses put in and the keeper is still on his line not challenging

The entirely believable rumour of why we ended up with him instead if mvila was it was largely add ons with only a small bit upfront.

Which why i hated the narrative he was our record signing when he was 13.9 maximum and probably only paid half of that while bent was 10m with add ons up to 16.5m which almost certainly we paid all of as we had to stump up cash to spurs when we selt him

I think we will sell mate. Behind the scenes they highly rate Young and I suspect he will be promoted to the no.2
