knee injury for Patterson I hear, not sure on how bad but not a great place to get injured... might be a while?

Patterson won't make a Premier League GK. He has barely improved 150+ games later and consistently has a goals prevented rate that has him exactly mid-table in the Championship.

People look at age but there's a far better correlation between games played rather than age, and he's relatively experienced considering the amount of games he has played.

There's a reason the club have been linked to the likes of Bulka and Petrovic and now signed Roefs, and why newspaper style links of Patterson himself going to PL clubs never had any substance.

This talk of keeping tools sharp and polished is cliched gibberish. He's 25 now, has had 3 full seasons at Championship level playing over 130 games in that division and has been given a lot of rope during that time too. It's not going to happen for him at the highest level, and the club are obviously wise to that too given our attempts to sign a GK all summer.

Our attempts to sign a goalkeeper all summer are because our second string goalkeeper is a 35yo lower league keeper.

So we've been linked to Bulka and Petrovic (neither of which has come off, nor even been substantiated), but links of Patterson garnering interest from other Premier league teams has "no substance" because they're "newspaper style links".

In what way were our links to Bulka and Petrovic any different? :lol:

We were after a 1st choice GK since the end of last season. Has nothing to do with Patterson, we'll probably sign a cheaper/free gk if Patto in injured long time.

weve been in for a keeper all window and most of our deals have been done before being reported on. Doesn't suggest anything about patto at all.
 
Remember, kids, the rule of thumb is that, if it's a link in the Chronic or Echo, they've very probably got their information from here so there's no point in starting a thread about it.
