Anyone remember our other Dutch goalkeeper Edwin Zoetebier? He was signed by Peter Reid from Volendam in the summer of 1997 as back up to Lionel Perez but left in January 1998 for Feyenoord having made just two appearances for the club (both in the League Cup).

Watched him without realising when the England u21s played the Dutch u21s and I remember commenting on the decent saves he made. Here's the context. If we sold patto, we would expect 6-7 million for him, so regardless of anything he's only really a 2 million upgrade, which seems decent business tbf. I actually rather suspect patto is on the way, and we will be getting a new second choice anyway.

Way better on crosses. Someone posted a comparison of his stats to Patterson's earlier and he was way ahead on crosses intercepted and saves made, but slightly behind in kick distance and passes made, which tbf can just be a tactical difference between the teams.
