NMUK working month is 169 hours which multiplied by the current min wage of £11.44 is as I said £23200 a year, so with a 12 per cent shift allowance would be £25984 (most places with minimum wage wont give you that shift allowance by the way). But that’s bottom of band, be a decent employee ,actually graft, get to top of band and you are earning money way above. It’s absolutely stupid comparing with the minimum wage.minimum wage for a job with similar hours per week is £24,761.88 not including shift allowance. with shift of 12 % it's, £27,733. Now try and get new starters to come and slog their guts out for about 2k extra a year.
Aldi have permanent day shift jobs in Darlo paying £28k
