Is £41k the maximum a shop floor worker can be in at Nissan. Seems decent .The 15% drop doesn't apply now to top of the band.
Top of the band is under £41k now
Top of the band is under £41k
How does that compare with other factories ?

Thanks. Maybe I’m wrong then. I thought from memory it was Nissan. I do know that one of the third parties has new starters squawk like a chicken on their first day. Also I believe that there was an issue just before Covid with human materials being found on pens.Hmm not sure, it’s a bit confusing when they give a basic wage but then the shift allowance on top. For example when they were absolutely hammering recruitment a year ago they advertised as 30k but said in the advert including shift allowance.
If it was 2012/2014 as you say the 21k may have been 21k plus shift allowance (presuming 3 shift premium at 22%) would have been 27k in total.
But to be honest I’d never heard that take it or leave it bit that you said. I’d defo be leaving it if that was the case though.
What you may also be talking about however is the 15% drop in pay for new starters in 2006ish. Some of them got it but depending on the start date threshold some of them got well dropped in the s**t. It was shocking really.
Correct, but as I’m saying pre 2006 starters will always be on 15% moreThe 15% drop doesn't apply now to top of the band.

No mate, the company as a whole is in big bother not just Nissan UK. Hopefully they can turn it round. Is the whole Nissan thing at the moment just posturing by the company?
My wife works at Vantec and It’ll probably massively affect them if anything happens at Nissan.
That’s excluding shift allowance lads get paid 50k on 3 shifts working on shop floorIs £41k the maximum a shop floor worker can be in at Nissan. Seems decent .

Hopefully - she’s worked there years so would be gutted if it went.No mate, the company as a whole is in big bother not just Nissan UK. Hopefully they can turn it round.
I recall my manager in a meeting saying that in Mexico all new starters work shifts and as you work there longer you move onto days when a position is available.Hmm not sure, it’s a bit confusing when they give a basic wage but then the shift allowance on top. For example when they were absolutely hammering recruitment a year ago they advertised as 30k but said in the advert including shift allowance.
