Striker
Come off it. One of the goals was given to him on a plate by a team who will be near the bottom 3 come May.
What kind of patter is that?

He was also in exactly the right position to score his second v Wednesday. Could easily have had a third too had he not been hauled down when in on goalHe took his first goal against Wednesday very well. However, he was pretty ordinary against Burnley. Worked hard but hold up play and decision wasn’t great. He needs to be third choice IMO
That’s the end of that saga. No surprises it’s fell through mind. I was hoping for Simic out of all the strikers linked anyway![]()
Such an overreaction to the Cardiff game. The lad played well got into really good positions. Had an excellent chance to score but the keeper made a great save. He's definitely not ready to play week in week out mate, come on man. You seem to forget the Cardiff match he got bullied and schooled. He has great potential but can't be relying on him to be our number 1 striker.
No chance we pay 5 million. I agreeWe were never going to pay 5 million for him
I’ll wait and see what happens with this one instead of believing the optimists on here after the last few transfer windows
Sorry but he didn't play well in the Cardiff game. The ball constantly came back off him. I can't remember him holding the ball up once they were either going through him or beating him to the ball everything. I can't believe one person that has actually played football seriously, would say he played well in that game. It was actually painful to watch at times he was so out of his depth. That chance was laid on a plate with him he got his feet all wrong , wasn't a great save by the keeper at all sorry.Such an overreaction to the Cardiff game. I've seen biggest and so called more experienced championship CF's bullied this season. Carlton Morris from Luton to name 1.
I've confidence in Mayenda that he'll score goals this season.
Anyway Isodor will be 1st choice as it stands anyway
He presses as needed in this team. His work rate is high. He can finish and finds good positions. Is he the finished article? No ofcourse not but having him as a proper 1st team option is absolutely fine. That finish vs wednesday was top drawer. That lad will have a very good career and be worth alot of money very soon.Sorry but he didn't play well in the Cardiff game. The ball constantly came back off him. I'm not denying he's a good player with fantastic potential. But no one can tell me he played well against Cardiff. He presses as needed in this team. His work rate is high. Compromise. His performance against Cardiff was better than any game Burstow has ever had. Progress!I'm not denying he's a good player with fantastic potential. But no one can tell me he played well against Cardiff.
Of course. But that's a very, very low ceiling.Compromise. His performance against Cardiff was better than any game Burstow has ever had. Progress!

As with any striker you score that 1 on 1 chance and your motm / one of the standout players. Miss it and everyone slates you. Such fine margins.I'm not denying he's a good player with fantastic potential. But no one can tell me he played well against Cardiff.
He played well against Sheff Wed and Burnley . He's improved with every game he's played and is hungry to learn. You know he will put 100% effort in and his pressing game so far is top drawerSorry but he didn't play well in the Cardiff game. The ball constantly came back off him. Idiot? For being right? Very mature response.Idiot

Totally agree. I only said he was poor the Cardiff game , anyone who thought he played well is bloody deluded. He played well against Sheff Wed and Burnley . You're not right. You're voicing your opinion which I think is wrong and at best very unfair.Idiot? For being right? Very mature response.
I'm not slating him for the miss it was for his overall performance, I felt sorry for the kid and totally agree we needed a different sort of striker in that game.As with any striker you score that 1 on 1 chance and your motm / one of the standout players. Miss it and everyone slates you. Such fine margins.
We didnt do a high press vs cardiff and probablys needed a targetman more than a mobile striker that game. Id focus more on sheff wed / burnley performances as a yardstick for his capability. In a few games he might just hit form and look like a future superstar. He has the ingredients for it to happen. P.s. amad looked crap 1st few games he was with us...
It's not very unfair when he was poor. Let's just leave it there as you obviously want to be right in this conversation. You're not right. You're voicing your opinion which I think is wrong and at best very unfair.
The idiot bit is saying anyone who has played football knows. Ridiculous thing to say
This isn’t the way real pretend ITKs operate man. You should be doubling down or saying things change or something like that. FfsWas told by someone I honestly believed had info and it turns out to be bollocks.
The strong implication was it was done deal and getting sorted for all the welcome photo shoots and intros.
Oh well. Not believing them again and questions to ask![]()
