Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)


There is no way Mayenda is ready to be our headline striker this season if promotion is the aim.

He's a young lad who will develop but there are times in general play where he looks lost with the ball at his feet. It would be completely unfair to fire him into a full season. 2 new strikers and Mayenda as 3rd choice is the best approach.

The club obviously agree which is why we are looking for strikers.

Hope the lad ends up a world beater but, hes got a long way to go to be the main man in a long season.

If we get a striker who isnt some young loanee from a prem club then yes. All signings are a gamble but we need someone who has some credentials where we can say we are making a fist at promotion.
Although from what i read i was under the impression the zenit lad was a left winger it would seem he is a striker, so it would be a 2nd striker if we do it.

About 5 posts before this one you were laughing at someone else being a WUM for having a different opinion, yet this is clearly a piss taking post.

After the Cardiff match I remember being gutted he didn't score as I though his all-round game was canny. Even said to the lad next to me he might score a few this season after his performance vs Cardiff.

Think he'd be a decent 2nd choice to push a starting striker to perform well, based on the 3 league games so far. Shouldn't be anywhere near the starting striker, and the pressure that comes with that, at his age. Especially if promotion this season is the aim.

Aye, the potential is massive for Simic. Just want a young, 6 foot 3 powerful striker, smashing fuck out of defenders and scoring at least 20 a season.
