Remember when we signed Alan Kennedy, Eric Gates, George Burley, Frankie Gray. Players that had appeared in European finals and Pannini sticker albums.Seen they are after Danny Ings any truth in that?
£10m being quoted. They're trying to buy Callum Doyle now apparently.
This! The Championship looks great. The PL is mainly about whose going to be relegated rather than whose bought the titleThey look to be showing ambition BUT will the lads they are signing fancy it in the championship?. Big test of motivation for them, different grounds, less cushy atmosphere.
You need lads who can play and are up for it as well. Going to be a cracking season imo., HTL.

The point I was making recently but unfortunately nobody, as per usual, agreed with me. Everyone just says the opposite of whatever I do. Or just makes stuff up that I didn’t say.
The Championship is a league of hard workers. Grafters. We embodied last season many of the traits needed to get from week to week. Team spirit. Belief. Never say die attitude. To name three things.
The Premiership though is a lot softer with their players. It’s namby-pamby. Nowhere do I say anything about failure to get promotion btw. I know theirs people thinking it. You should be prepared to get stuck in in the Championship.
Will their players adapt and cope?
But they have won stuff in recent years and that has to be a factor in the 'big club' calculations. Our fans must be the only club who downplay their history.
Leicester are a more relevant club in 2023 they've won trophies in the past ten years.
However they are nowhere near bigger.
You don't hear man utd and Liverpool discount the trophies they won decades ago and they still win things so why do we as a fanbase do it?
Doesn't matter when it happened we still had to win the league it's part of us, if it doesn't count then Liverpool and Man Utd need to reduce their tally's as well
I think they’ll walk the league.Been talking to me Leicester mate today and he isn’t overly pleased with the signings they’ve made so far, thinks Coady isn’t as good as people are making out, last season proving as much with Everton, Winks is shite (I agree with this mind) and if they sign Ings he’d be happy but knows if they go up they are going to be stuck with him on more than likely higher wages and won’t be able to get rid, same as Coady. (Disclaimer he’s always pessimistic even when they had basically won the league
)
Be interesting to see how it all pans out for them as I’ve read plenty from Leicester fans and other fan base thinking they are going to piss it, I think they might struggle to get promoted straight away personally, need to see other signings and who else they lose before I could even attempt a guess.
I’m not so sure they’ve already lost Maddison and Tielsman, Barnes is going by the looks of it as well which I’d consider there 3 best players, like I say I can’t really make a prediction as it’s to early to say what squad they will have, have they improved on conceding from set pieces?, is the manager actually good enough? Or is he another Paul Clement, How much will they reinvest and will they do it wisely? Good luck to them mind I’ve no Ill will towards them unless it’s at the expense of usI think they’ll walk the league.
I think they’ll walk the league.
We really won't.Unfortunately so. I look at who they have and the whole squad and I can’t see who is going to beat them.
It will be interesting to see the reaction from the players and the fans if and when they drop points. They will be expecting to be stronger than anyone else in the league. But what would happen if they went to a team whose whole squad cost less than it took to buy one Leicester City player and say they only drew 0-0. How quick will the fans turn on the team and manager. If performances don’t improve after the draw I can see the manager being at risk of losing his job.
Think they will also have the pick of the Man City youth academy’s to choose from on loanCan see it going wrong. It also depends on the character and ego of these players and whether they've got any fight left after being battered last season. Some ageing players who have already been there and done it, probably happy to pick up their wages and don't have any ambition beyond that, possibly thinking ahead to a career in coaching or management.
