Leicester forum - Championship thread

They are all beatable.
History shows that as often as not, relegated teams spend more than one season in this league.
Same arguments are trotted out every year, and its less likely every year.
I don't see any of the relegated sides walking this league.

Not when you can, as a Championship club, spend £10m on one player, given what that can get you, beatable isn’t one word for Leicester City. They basically have 46 pre season friendlies.

All relegated clubs have always had the ability to spend more, but they as often as not don't go straight back up.
It's just lazy thinking. " Oh they've got loads of money, spending it, so they'll go straight back up".
I've published the stats on here before man. Mostly it doesn't happen.

As said many times before, its not the cash or stature of club, its building a team and having a quality manager that counts.

.. Looks to me that Leicester will be very strong and will very likely go straight back up .. Though, the mop doesn't always flop as expected ..

Never as 'black and white' as that.
If it were like that, then every season the same 6 clubs would just keep swapping between the premier League and championship.
Season just gone for instance - only one of the relegated clubs went back up, and none of the promoted (into the premier) went straight back down.
It's 11v11 - you ALWAYS have a chance, no matter who you're playing against (unless it's Boro 😜😜😜).

Leicester may well go straight back up - but they're in the championship because that's where they deserve to be, just like the other 23 teams.
