Blofeld?
I don’t even have a problem with that game to be honest but it does just sum up Lords and how elitist cricket is.Blofield recently kicked off and demanded Harrow v Eton return to Lords,,,and got his wish.

I’d be interested to know if Lords would allow another two state schools to hire the ground out for the day for a game mind…I do personally...I dont see why those schools are remotely important in anyway.
Weird like as I love Lords, probs my fav ground, but just looking at some of the pics on twitter this morning and just seeing it as a bit grotesque in light of that report, how posh the people are.

they don't, even if they could afford it
they basically masquerade as a private members club, ignoring the fact that its money from the general public due to 2 Lords Tests every summer that funds them.
Australia where cricket is viewed as a working class sport participation numbers are 750,000. U.K. participation number are 365,000. Despite having a population nearly three times the size.
This I've seen 100%. You've got to be at a bigger or more fashionable club to get picked!Cricket is rarely even played at schools now unless they’re fairly wealthy schools.
I’ve seen elitism at Durham when kids are picked to play for Durham depending on if the club they’re at are one of the more ‘fashionable clubs’ unless they’re a serious talent playing at a lesser club. Then They’re encouraged to leave said lesser club.
Talking about it now on Sky Sports Cricket and Nasser having a go at Lord's prices and that England Women have never played a test match there
Completely unacceptable if its u9 or u11, but as they start to play senior cricket I can see an argument for moving to a club playing a higher standard. I know McKinney did that moving from Seaham Harbour to Hetton Lyons in the PL, which was fair enough IMO.This I've seen 100%. You've got to be at a bigger or more fashionable club to get picked!
I knew they’d just focus on women or race, they don’t want to tackle the major issue which is class
Genuine question.
Am I totally wrong thinking no way women cricketers should get same pay as men? Surely they don’t bring in the same revenue like?
Aye those will be the easy things to discuss as let’s be honest most of the sky panel have come from that elite background and have benefited from it.
Nasser has never been one to be shy on his views, good on himTalking about it now on Sky Sports Cricket and Nasser having a go at Lord's prices and that England Women have never played a test match there
I think Burnham did the same, assuming that was the reason for the moveCompletely unacceptable if its u9 or u11, but as they start to play senior cricket I can see an argument for moving to a club playing a higher standard. It works for some. Had a player told to leave our club to go to a better one - barely played a game and ended up coming back after losing two seasons of regular first team cricket. Hadn't been brought through at the big clubs academy so didn't fit in.Completely unacceptable if its u9 or u11, but as they start to play senior cricket I can see an argument for moving to a club playing a higher standard.
