Heineken Blade beer machine

I've not tried that one - sure I've had a bottle before but can't really remember owt about it.

I only got the machine at Christmas, so the kegs I've had so far are Spaten*, Lowenbrau*, Midway, and Camden Pale. All excellent. They're all beers I'd drink if I was out so non-brainer. I'm wary of getting owt daft like Leffe or Hoegaarden, cos though I do like the odd one, I think they'd be too heavy going to have on tap.

The beauty of the PD whilst ya've got a keg on the go, is being able to just casually fill a little tumbler or small glass in passing.

**I've had the Oktoberfest brews for both of these off me mate's PD as well - class. Will be getting some meself when they're back on.

....and also very dangerous when you work from home

After reading this thread i looked up a second hand one for £80 (perfect draft) and thought ah, not too bad.

Then looked up the price of the kegs on Amazon and its a total rip off compared to cans. Seems to be about twice as much per litre?

Edit - 3 or 4 times as much?

Works out about £3 a pint. Having tried mine at the weekend the difference is night and day to cans.

Having said that, il still be drinking cans/bottles due to cost but using the PD now and again if I fancy a treat, and it certainly is.

Edit, the kegs are cheaper on the PD website, they also have e 15% off offer at the min so regular deals. Nisa Washington and Samar’s celadon sell them, you get £5 back also when you return a keg. Kegs on Amazon are about £10 dearer than the status quo

Comes with the glasses too, which are great. Does the 15% off code on the app work with the deal?
Wouldn't let me use the 15% off code on that deal in the app. Just ordered 2 kegs of Vocation Life and Death and a couple of glasses for £65. Happy days

I didn't even realise Amazon sold them - looks a rip off.

The Perfect Draft site is the best place to buy 'em. It does concern me they have a monopoly on kegs like - prices might be a bit more reasonable otherwise.

Shop the offers and make full use of the discounts is my advise. I tend not to buy 'til I'm getting a keg for under £30.

Fiver delivery though so can sometimes be cheaper to pick up at nisa.
I do have a tenner credit to use though so gonna get a stella unfiltered.
That Clarkson Hawkstone lager is meant to be really nice but never tried it yet.

It's free delivery when ya spend over £50 though... that's two kegs. I wouldn't buy just one. Ya get discounts on the multibuys.

get on the pd app, they have a 15% off code running PDAPP15 iirc
Just on now didn't work on site but downloaded app cheers 👍

Loads sold out 🤬
Was gonna try the Clarkson one and was gonna try a cider but both sold out.
Plus the Stella unfiltered with glasses is sold out but the normal isn't.
Might just get 2 of those

I'd recommend Midway if you like a sessionable IPA.

The others I'd lean towards are out of stock.

Used to like a pint of that, but had one in the dun cow that tasted of chemicals, brushed it off as a bad pint, got some cans from the supermarket not long after and they tasted the same.

Never had it from cans, but never noticed a chemically taste neither. I quite like it.
