That could be a good reason for you to get one, it's the main reason I am having mine to help keep people around me safe.My only worry is that either of my parents get it as they are both 64, so will be encouraging them to continue getting boosters.
If you’ve had the initial vaccine, or just been exposed to the virus, then a booster isn’t at all necessary.Aimed at those who have had all vaccinations so far, will you be having a booster this winter if offered?
Have to say I'm leaning towards "No" at the minute.
Be interested to hear from anyone voting "No" as to why they've changed their mind.
frij will be along to have a pop at you soonHaven't even had one jab so nope. Had the covid too, I've had worse shites man!!

To be fair for a so called 'intelligent' lad, you haven't half been dumbed down by the stateHe’s even thicker than you are tbf.
Quite the accomplishment tbhHe’s even thicker than you are tbf.
If you’ve had the initial vaccine, or just been exposed to the virus, then a booster isn’t at all necessary.
The only thing being boosted is in fact the profits of big pharmaceutical companies.

Not in the slightest. What evidence do you have to support your claim? Presumably by initial vaccine you mean the first and follow-up only, as the follow-up was not a booster.
The booster is considered to be highly effective.
I don’t disagree that boosters forever, for everyone, may not be that effective, indeed evidence and guidance on the fourth dose, so the second booster, is that it is really only for people at higher risk, so the over 50s, those with long term conditions, clinically vulnerable etc as well as those working in care settings.
You are however incorrect to say that boosters are not necessary and I would suggest you ask the moderation team to remove your post.
It is wrong and it is misleading and it is recommending people take a course of action detrimental to their health.
Blah blah blah. As ever you have nothing of substance to say and nothing of importance to add, just a continuation of your obsession with proving me wrong, and yet you are still unable to.
That could be a good reason for you to get one, it's the main reason I am having mine to help keep people around me safe.
Not in the slightest.
It’s as if every single bit of scientific knowledge in relation to how vaccinations and antibodies actually work suddenly went out of the window when Covid-19 popped up.
Suggest you go and read any book or scientific paper from the years preceding January 2020 on the science of vaccinations and antibodies and understand the principles of how they actually work, and then you will understand that my assertion here that a booster is not necessary if you have had a vaccine and/or been exposed to the virus is absolutely 100% valid and correct.
Then once you have done that and relieved yourself of your ignorance, you can ask the mods to remove your post.

I think the booster is the “bivalent" that targets omicron, I could be wrong, I'll know on Monday.yes, but only if it's the one that including the omicron protection. I don't see much point getting another jab against the original Wuhan variant considering they are pretty different.
Can you please just go and Google “how do antibodies work” already? You disagree with my statement that you’ve put in bold text, where I accused you of recommending people take an action detrimental to their health?
You said, and I quote:
This is directly against the advice and guidance given to people, especially those who are older, have a long term condition or who are clinically vulnerable.
For example, the medical director of NHS England said the booster programme was “crucial” for those eligible and a spring and autumn booster would maximise protection.
Can you please explain why the medical director of NHS England is wrong and that people do not need boosters?
Can you please just go and Google “how do antibodies work” already?
Jesus wept.
This is ridiculously basic stuff that you learn in biology class at school when you’re about 11 years old. Therefore it should not require me to spend my Saturday evening explaining an extremely simple concept to a grown adult that even school age children know and understand.
Once you understand this very simple principle, it’s then an extremely simple joining the dots exercise as to why a booster isn’t necessary.
