the govt didnt block it. the fa didnt block it. the pl didnt block it. the pl didnt give a shit if it meant more money flooding in.
the pl waited for the saudi's to submit themselves to the usual owners and directors test but they wouldnt because they'd link themselves to the piracy. so they walked away.
when they came back, they'd bribed their way out of the piracy, and got pressure put onto the PL to release the mealy-mouthed horseshit that they wouldnt "control" the club.
