No, do keep up.
The conversation is the progress since Ashley who finished 5th with Pardew and claimed to be booed off for that.
I’ve no idea why Shepherd is being dragged into it.

Booed for finishing 5th ?? Really.
Can you show where he got booed in that season please ?
Who do you think you are man? 😂 You're an absolute clown, anyway this is boring, I saw Robson mentioned and the 5th place booing. If you're saying you're talking about another time then that's smashing.

Why is he putting a link up to the Shepherd era when we’re discussing progress since Ashley ?
We’re discussing the fact that mags support a murderous ownership and were whinging self entitled supporters who have constantly hounded managers when they are not centre stage in the PL (even 5th as proven) constantly re writing history on behaviour, fan numbers et al.
They’ll not dare react to the new owners the way they always have in the past.
Couldn’t give a fuck about your ‘progress’
Cost you £M’s to just survive
Why don’t you discuss your wonderful progress on a mag board ?????

I never said that. I'm taking issue with your comment about 'when was 8th not good enough?'.

Well pardew finished 12th, 5th and 10th in 4 years (10th was his last season) and he got nowt but abuse for years.

Why was be abused in that the case if you're taking issue taking issue with the failure not finishing 8th crack?

I like the fact you’ve had to resort to the classic admission of defeat that is your last sentence. It’s basically this places way of throwing the towel in.

Burn has done a really good job since coming in. You only need to read the press or watch the games to see that.
I think 8 is a real possibility but unfortunateley im not in a financial position to put £100 on the table. Glady put a tenner on it for a bit of fun.

He was like Tern.
he's a big lump who the ball gets hoofed to and how many goals did he contribute, for a world famous number 9?

he finished 5th then regressed to 10th.

You’re on about Chris Wood not Dan Burn ??

Defeat 😂 you’ve been owned on your usual defence of your new blood money as well as the usual rewriting of mag history.
Why do you bother with ‘ this place’ ? What is it you are trying to achieve you utter clownshoe

Remember the mags love a striker !
So 10th wasn't good enough?

Leicester dropped from 5th to 8th this season. Did Rodgers deserve being abused?
He would have been at Newcastle ! However most of their managers never truly recovered once they lost to little Sunderland

We are currently stuck with legacy sponsorship deals, below market value for even the lower Prem League club that we are/were. Because of that we are relatively "cash poor", this brings in cash in advance and if all goes to plan and we improve/progress the future deals we make should be significantly higher.

We could have bought out the current sponsorship deals but I'm guessing that would have cost way more than any interest we'll pay on this loan (however much it is) even if we did a "new" deal would be based on what we currently are - a lower level Prem side, so we'd be locked into a new deal that if we do progress will be lower value than if we waited. Leaving it all alone to run out means if we have a good season new deals will be much higher.

Given the wealth of our owners it's not exactly a risk.

BTW I said the ownership MO was exactly how I hoped/expected, as in controlled and steady - which due to FFP is all you can do. This is simply further evidence of that. I hope we finish top 10 this season, that's the extent of my "expectation" and given the performances this year (last season) that is not unrealistic.

It's only the pissypants "I want it now" cretins who will be upset.
I would love to see the figures backing up the “below market value sponsorships”
I think the expectation is top 8 which is fair enough.

Can I ask why you mention Dan Burn when he was one of the standout players of last season ? Is it because he's not deemed to be a glamourous player ?
Top 8? 😂😂 Based on what? Because you’ve got a couple of foreign players and a bunch of top end championship players? You’ll struggle this season

Theres been big investment in the playing staff which hugely paid off in 2nd half of last season. Then there is investments in non playing staff ie Ashworth / CEO etc, then the investments in the facilities both stadium and training ground. Thats a lot in a relatively short time. Great effort so far imo.
Calm down lad, all they’ve done so far is spend a couple of quid washing the windows and give the concourse a lick of paint.

Disgusting when you see mags defending the Saudis man. Bloke on Facebook (not a Mackem, from Newcastle) seems quite into the middle east and he pointed out how wor flags won’t be flying Yemeni flags and that the sportswashing seems to be going well. 2 mags replying to him (this is on a Newcastle fans tv post) with one telling him to “get over himself” and the other explaining how Yemen harbour terrorist training camps (essentially excusing the Saudis behaviour). Fair enough some mags just distance themselves from political side of things but the fact some go out of their way to defend it is just frightening
