If they're not happy then why have they allowed it?
But does it ever work?
All the regimes or states that attempt it seem to get way more negative attention than if they just didn't bother.
Maybe there's another less obvious aim. What that is,I don't know.
As said in my previous post, has there ever been a succesful sportswashing campaign?
If you say soI'd say this is the opposite to sports washing then because it's doing none of that.
It’s all about the money, the rest is bullshitSome have even said as much. Play less, earn more.
Can you explain it a bit more? There's a big difference between an investment fund, investing in other businesses, than an investment fund, owning a business.
Here's a question for you.You are far enough “in” to start with, especially as you claim you don’t know what sportswashing is, that makes it worse
Perhaps they are simply trying to diversify their economy, which is oil based and unsustainable as such.
Well anyone can invest into a business floated on a stock exchange, for example, I can purchase shares in Disney but it doesn't mean I can control how the business operates. Can you explain it a bit more?
I think most aren't by the looks of it.You have any saying they aren't?
Why would you dance around with saudi flags, if you were bothered about the atrocities committed in that country. If you are dancing around with a saudi flag, you know what goes on in that country, so, yes, you are celebrating a murderous regime. If someone was waving a nazi flag about ,would you think 'oh, its alright, forget about the holocaust, they are celebrating the Germanys economic recovery'. You wave a flag around knowing what that country is about, and ,quite frankly, a lot of you don't care, as proven by the zero amount of dissent from the saudi franchise fans.Did you read my post properly? The icing on the cake bit? That's about celebrating new owners coming in with a bit of ambition. I've not tried to say fans weren't happy at the prospect of that, you must have me confused with someone else.
What I did say was that absolutely no one was out celebrating the human rights atrocities committed by the Saudis, which was suggested in this very thread by another deluded demonizer of Newcastle fans.
There are plenty of numpties out there (especially on Twatter with a Saudi flag in their name) to have a pop at, no need to make your targets up
Looks of whatI think most aren't by the looks of it.
This comes down to percentages then, right?Well anyone can invest into a business floated on a stock exchange, for example, I can purchase shares in Disney but it doesn't mean I can control how the business operates.
The Public Investment Fund of Saudi own Newcastle United Football Club and therefore control how the business operates.
It's definitely working on you and your fellow saudi franchise fansHere's a question for you.
Do you think this sports washing is working and if so, how... and if not, why?
As long as backward numpties like yourself keep coming on here, Twitter, Facebook etc. Idolising them, hoying SA flags all over the shop and making excuses for them ‘well Qatar did it’ ‘Nowt Hitler never done’ then aye, it’s working a treat. Here's a question for you.
Do you think this sports washing is working and if so, how... and if not, why?
They couldn't find separation... So you're state owned. But as it stands you're not sure we're state-owned...right?
In my opinion at this moment in time it is, but there is a groundswell of dissension from individual sportspeople voicing their opinions Lewis Hamilton, Rory Gallagher, Mainz’s F.C. supporters to name but a few. Here's a question for you.
Do you think this sports washing is working and if so, how... and if not, why?
is this part of the “got wuh club back” scheme?Mags are losing their shit over paying for a friendly.
It’s a choice to go or not they aren’t being forced to pay, good job they live in a country where they have a choice to do things they want and not forced into it like some countries, say a country like Saudi Arabia perhaps!
