NUFC/Sportswashing - Summer 2022

Modest spending? You were comfortably the highest net spenders in January and are on target to be so this summer despite revenue being about 14th highest in the premier league
For the last time, it is to answer someone asking why we are excited despite the signings being the same type as when under Ashley

Saudis have created a shit storm in other sports, mainly golf and its attempt of ruining a great sport with money. Just look at fat **** Westwood and his band of slugs now threatening court action toward DP and PGA tours , the f***ing low life shites.

The media should be hammering the fuckers but alas their morals, or a large percentage of them are lower than an ants cock.

It's shameful

Your quote they don't fail at anything is pure sportswashing. Of course they do
Sorry @Skylon …I think that you may have overreacted to this one. I have been watching Sweeps and if anything he goes above and beyond in condemning the atrocities of the Saudi’s and does not (as yet) spout utter bollix nufc-wise.
I could be shown up on this in the future, but as things stand he has done little wrong on here.
Don’t condemn it though do you? A couple of players from Burnley makes it all ok
Erm….yes he does.

CIA must be full of salty makems.
I listened to the BBC podcast and Kevin Campbell was saying they aren’t even trying to hide it. If they’d waited a season or 2 then maybe but they threw it in everyone’s face and laughed about it.

The other fella on (can’t remember who) was saying Newcastle have to accept who the owners are becuase it’s still the fans club blah blah blah and they deserve success

It’s all so easy when you’ve got money, you can literally get away with murder
I'm genuinely confused by this. Everyone knows that this PIF / State separation thing is absolute bollocks. They're owned by MBS.

Say KLD ordered the murder of someone & it was proved that he was responsible, why on earth wouldn't that automatically bar him for life from owning a football club or operating within any sort of business within the UK.
Because Boris was looking for someone to replace his Russian money
What does the cost of human life matter?

The uncomfortable truth is, when it comes to oil for this government and blood money for the premier league they don’t care. Piracy was the issue, not murder or genocide.

Worse still, the mags won’t care one jot either. I mean, why should they when they are signing Chris Wood & Pope? It was always about investment in the reejun and getting their club back right??

Who cares about innocent children being starved and bombed on their way to school??!
They’ll all fly Ukraine flags and send Facebook thoughts and prays though

Say it enough times and your start to believe it I guess . As the chronic article says below (which they make it sound as though it was years and years ago when in fact it was just the other season)

There was once a time where Newcastle United had to give away half-season tickets in the Ashley era. Now, the Magpies have thousands of supporters who can't even get inside St James' Park.

its because they have owners they think will spend 100m every window

Qn for the mags......

... SJP has a capacity of 52k, 30k season tickets, 2k away section, new 1k season tickets...does that not leave 19k (37%) tickets for match to match basis? Or are my numbers wrong?

Spurs: Capacity 62,850, 45k ST, 3K away leaves = 14,850 (24% M2M)

Liverpool: 53,384, 27k ST, 3K away leaves 23,384 (43% M2M)

To maximise revenue you want a different fan in each seat for each match so they splurge in the club shop - see Anfield megastore on a match day.

I think you’ve missed the FFP bit in football, you can’t just keep spending and spending, look at Everton.

Tbf, slightly disagree with this.

The way Ashley ran the club means that they could spend hundreds of millions and still comply with FFP.

Plus, The Saudis are used to doing what they want, especially in this country - murdering servants, corrupt arms deals where they successfully demand the PM shuts the investigation down etcetc

They should never have been allowed to buy the club in the 1st place, but bin Salman simply texted our Prime Minister instructing him to ensure it happened, and the deal went through shortly after.

I hardly think Bin Salman’s henchmen would allow whatever plans they had to be impeded by a healthy respect for the sanctity of the Financial Fair Play rules and regulations. If they wanted to empty out the contents of the investment fund on the mags they would just do it. I doubt they would accept that Qatar could do a deal for Mbappe or whoever but they weren’t allowed to. They would expect (unfortunately with some justification) that they could just ignore any rules and do what they want.

The fact that they haven’t done this is quite telling imo. I’ve never heard anyone talk about FFP as much as the mags have recently. Just won’t be a factor imo. The Saudis wouldn’t give a fuck. The only reason for not shelling out ££££ on superstar strikers is because they don’t want to.

He is canny for a mag, but he has even admitted he may have been wrong in saying the Saudis never fail. Which they do

I get what you’re saying and agree with a lot of what you’re saying, my point was that at some point they will have to balance the books, it’s all caught up with Everton.
