Yes but you’re missing the outgoings. Only the same if Dubravka is slated to be sold.

And for the bigger money ones, only if other players are going to be sold. Case in point; Joelinton was mostly financed by the sale of Perez

Isn’t that how football transfers work? Football is a business.

But it's bigger money deals isn't it? Which is all that matters to them at the moment, be seen to be spending big and they can all go on about what a big club they are.

Better still if its "net spend".

Net spend!!!!

Problem is, they don't have much to sell. No one is jumping at the chance to buy St. Maximin. (Pretty much confirming that hes hugely overrated) leaving Dubravka as probably their only potentially big money sale.

Perez was on form when they sold him, yet hasn't exactly set the world alight.
Yes. So it is now different from Ashley’s era
Who’s going to pay big money for Dubravka, he’s absolutely shite
I hope there is no need to sell him, personally

True.

But I don't see anyone else in that squad getting much? Too early to sell Bruno, Joelinton?

You'd get nothing for Shelvey/Wilson because of his age. Longstaff x2, Lascelles, Willock? Not going to get much for them.
I can see them doing an Everton and having a massive net spend (approx £100m) for about 6 transfer windows in a gamble to get in the top 4 and then falling foul of FFP rules in a few years’ time.

Unless they fiddle the books with a massive “visit Saudi Arabia” sponsorship of st James’ park (a loop hole that I believe is now closing) I can see how they can keep this level of spending up

I think you’ve missed the FFP bit in football, you can’t just keep spending and spending, look at Everton.

Everton's spending was stupid and without much thought at all. The mags will learn from that and not make the same mistakes.

THIS IS HILARIOUS....

THEYVE COMPLETELY LOST THEIR MINDS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
There IS a solution to this problem, though.

At the next local council elections, or even General Election if sooner, we form a single-issue political party – let’s call it (say) The Geordie Common Sense Party.

“The Geordie Common Sense Party”

🤔

Never say I want that. Again, just answering someone’s question re Ashley and the current (relatively) modest spending
Modest spending? You were comfortably the highest net spenders in January and are on target to be so this summer despite revenue being about 14th highest in the premier league
