There’s 60p spent. Leaves you 40p and that alone would feed you for the whole day.

How much is the cakePiece of cake
Yeah a bit white wine. I've got 75% of a bottle left in my fridge. I also put a third of a tin of chopped tomatoes, smoked paprika and some thyme and bay leaves out of my garden in it.No wine in it though ?
I'll make my own.How much is the cake
I struggle to see how you can do it, a cheap loaf of bread is at least 70p, a tin of smart price beans and sausage is about 50p.
I can't think of anything blander than tinned tomatoes and pasta. YuckNah.

I shop at Asda, I may need to look at Aldi deliveries if they're available tbh.I bought a loaf from aldi a couple of days back for 36p.
Tesco no frills beans & sausage is 39p for a big tin

Se above. Was confusing it with pilaf. My first day I've spent 75p on three packets of seeds. Parsley, basil and spinach. Investing in the future and saving at the same time
Yeah
Kwiksave, that's a blast from the pastI did that 30 years ago.
25kg sack of potatoes for £2.50 lasted a month.
10p loaf of bread at KwikSave and a couple 10p tins of beans each week.
1 block of butter and an occasional block of cheese.
Planted some carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce in the garden.
I lived on maybe maybe £2/week in food back then.
It was a monotonous diet, but I did it for 5 months and survived. It just takes a bit of willpower.
These days, I'd still go for potatoes, but pasta and rice are good alternatives.
You can still get rice for 45p/kg even in Sainsbury's. In bulk, it must be cheaper elsewhere.
Yes but you’re missing the point. He’s asking could I? They answer is yes.I can't think of anything blander than tinned tomatoes and pasta. Yuck
