Living on £1 per day

What have you got in the house is the question? For all we know you could be stocked to the rafters 😊
I've got loads of survival food like dried lentils and black eyed peas. The type of stuff that's in the cupboard for years because you don't eat it .

My fridge has a normal amount of food in it, couple of blocks of cheese, around a pint of milk, a bit veg, packet of bacon etc. My freezer is quite full, but mostly frozen veg a packet of mince, frozen prawns and some salmon. I've got tins of tuna, beans sweetcorn and some rice pasta, oats, bread etc. Like I said will be easy for a week or so.

A month with that lot in . You've just described the ingredients of a hellish Mac cheese with bacon that you can batch cook and freeze again

Allotment this time of year you should e feasting well

Ditch the meat.. fruit can be had cheap.. certainly Bananas which are filling too .

Find out best time for whoopises.. if lots of veg then go down the soup route
Trouble with the allotment is you get the same things all at once so need to freeze and preserve things. My potatoes are just starting to be big enough to eat, but if I eat them too soon they'll all be tiny. I've got cabbage, kale, cauliflower, onion, garlic and strawberries ready to eat now. I won't starve but like I said it's getting the staples in and trying to make it interesting.
Oh, you have an allotment. Just eat what's in there then.
I intend to. I could live on potatoes, cabbage and onion but hoping for something a bit more interesting. It should be different when tomatoes are done.
If you're well stocked up it'll be a piece of piss.
Yeah at first. I'm not even counting the first week.

Been to Morrisons tonight and snapped up 10 steak pies for £1 (reduced from £10) and 10 doughnuts for 16p reduced from £1.60.

The foxes will eat the steak pies over the next two or three nights as I'm always on the lookout for cheap meat to feed them and my daughter has three exams tomorrow so she'll take the doughnuts to school for her and her classmates.

Not a bad haul for £1.16 if you were on a budget.

I see, for some reason I'd got it in my head you were giving it a week and then knocking it on the head
