Putin could also use it against the West "See, they don't really care about you..we are kindred spirits"Dangerous territory now for future relations with Ukraine.
Ukraine feeling increasingly annoyed and abandoned with the West. Should Ukraine prevail then its people will have more to thank the county’s far right militias for than they do the West - we could easily see a nationalist and anti-west government taking over.

might come across as a bit heartless, i'm really not, but i am finding it a bit weird the lenghts that people are going to to post memes about this whole thing on FB
just saw a picture of tearful bloke on train a platform holding his kids toy with an explanation underneath that the bloke has just sent his wife and bairns away from kyiv. and saw the same post a few times of this lengthy script about how they are booking airbnbs and paying for them and telling the ukrainian host to keep the money and other convoluted ways of sending money.
its almost like its fuck*ng entertaining for some people
That’s the Flanders’s lads, if they were a wee bit younger I could see them going over to help !You must be logged on to see media items
Good point. Our failure to act just playing even more into Putin’s hands.Putin could also use it against the West "See, they don't really care about you..we are kindred spirits"
Watch this and tell me why you vote Conservative.....
If true it’s no surprise. Serbia committed genocide snd the worst convicted war criminal since Hitler is still seen as a hero who did a good thing in Serbia. They would love to ethnically cleanse the former Yugoslavia countries more with Russian support. There was a large PRO-RUSSIAN rally in Serbia last night. Bit worrying from a country that is expected to be confirmed as an EU member in a couple of years time. They've also been buying huge amounts of Russian military hardware and even send their troops on joint exercises with Russian troops.

Turn their flag upside down and it becomes Russian. There was a large PRO-RUSSIAN rally in Serbia last night. yeah and to be honest, I don't care why anyone votes conservative, plenty of discussions about that over the months in the bearpit that is the politics forum.Thats been around well before boris and Co my pedigree chum
Putin will love seeing that sort of thing, Zelenskiy wants to steady on a bit - he's getting a hell of a lot of help, and whilst I'm sure he'd love more, there's a big hand helping that he doesn't want to start biting. The rules and lines are clear, those are what we and he have to work with as things stand. If he's as intelligent as he has been coming across (and I'm a big fan, don't get me wrong) he'll know the implications and why we're not giving him the no-fly zone and just keep doing what he's been doing brilliantly - inspiring the world and his people.Putin could also use it against the West "See, they don't really care about you..we are kindred spirits"

Trouble is that for many the penny that drops will be that the west is making their lives ( more) bloody miserable. So your average Russian can no longer access Facebook, twitter, use visa/Mastercard, lost a range of radio/tv media, cash machines(?), cannot fly to most western countries, easily buy a lot of western brands, watch Russian teams compete in international sports…..You would think some sort of penny will drop…..
Got Brexit done thoughYou can f***ing do something about it when you get to the bastard top though…

That is why the uk is getting a body swerve from the international community when it comes to the united approach to Russia. This government, this county, you, me - we’re tainted, we’ve all been bought.
Not sure the rules and red lines are clear.yeah and to be honest, I don't care why anyone votes conservative, plenty of discussions about that over the months in the bearpit that is the politics forum.

Someone on here did that too. Bizarre really. Why not just donate via one of the funds? How do you know the host is in danger? They might not even be in Ukraine. They could be very comfortable and quite rich while there's homeless desperate families need help.might come across as a bit heartless, i'm really not, but i am finding it a bit weird the lenghts that people are going to to post memes about this whole thing on FB

Not something I would do but people are just trying to help aren't they.Someone on here did that too. Bizarre really. Why not just donate via one of the funds? How do you know the host is in danger? If you donate via the disaster emergency fund the government will match your donation.
True and it's their money and I shouldn't criticise. But they publicy post it potentially encouraging others when there's just better ways to do it.Not something I would do but people are just trying to help aren't they.
The best thing we could do is offer physicalTrue and it's their money and I shouldn't criticise. But they publicy post it potentially encouraging others when there's just better ways to do it.
