Great news if true
This is one of the problems with social media, knowing what is actually true and not a lie/propaganda from either side. Actually, just media in general if you think back to Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf aka Comical Ali.
could not resist screenshotting this earlier, now i'm no espionage expert but they really should be a little bit more discreet

They're all about transparency these days.

People just skirt through mainstream and social media to find an article or point of view that fits their own thinking and makes them feel good about themselves and the situation, then they stick with it.

Yeah pretty much, random twitter accounts claiming Russia have taken somewhere or Ukraine has retaken the place, possibly trying to be the first to mention it? Get Kate Adie in.

No one is denying that but would you be happy to get into a war with Russia over it
Yes mate I would.

100% mate.
People making 1000s stark claims to cover all angles so that if it happens they can say ‘told you so’.

One thing in Ukraine’s favour in their ability to fight is they have had a pretty aggressive mandatory military service since the start of 2015. Looks like it was backdated then too that anyone under 27 would have to spend at least 1 year, with many doing 18 months or more of military service. Most Eastern European countries had large numbers doing it anyway even when not mandatory.

So there will probably be a very decent number of younger males who have gone through it. Plus they made it mandatory for females in December too.

When we hear about arming civilians, the civil defence force and other reservists most of them will have gone through professional military service.

They won’t have seen actual combat but it’s still not like handing a rifle to the average Brit who hasnt got a clue. 12-18 months of full time training they will have a decent ability at least in the basics
Ukraine have had the west training their special forces and army for exactly this battle since 2014, it’s no surprise their results are significant.

There’s no doubt in my mind that Russia are trying to provoke a reaction from the West by recklessly attacking nuclear power plants and shooting at journalists. This is either:

1. To force the west to the negotiating table and give Russia a route out of the situation
2. To bring the west into the conflict, bringing therefore Russian allies into it.

Either way is dangerous. We need to see Putin killed as soon as possible along with anyone loyal to him

And in the 90s and 2000s and the 2010s and 2020. It only took 40 year to be back where we started.

Well that's what happens when you stick your beak in everyone's businesses

Watch putins empire of lies speech amidt the obvious paranoid ramblings and the mention of the fall of the USSR 976 times he makes some excellent points about the west and NATO and the USA.

Let's not forget it wasn't to long ago we and our American cousins started an illegal war for reasons we will probably never know oh WMDs lol.

At least the first gulf War there was a genuine reason to go in.

I disagree. They were all heed the balls just like Putin.
Maybe we should invade Scotland instead of letting them have independence or at least the vote.
