I saw footage of that earlier. He is now abandoning the military only attacks (I know civilians were still caught in it) and now throwing the hard stuff. This is bad news for Ukraine unless they manage to get air support in fast. Those things flatten cities in a devastating way.

Putin wants puppet regimes in Belarus, Georgia and Ukraine. Georgia didn't apply to NATO but Russia still went to war against them. Belarus have no intention of joining NATO but still have a pro-Russian puppet regime

Let's not forget Chechnya, South Ossestia, Kazakhstan or the newly formed Republic's of Donestk and Luhansk.

NATO isn't the issue here, it's pure Soviet patriotism who gets pure horny at the thought of a remake of the USSR

Any appetite to joint NATO is largely borne out of the threat that Russia poses and the aggression they continuously demonstrate as you say. No matter what way you look at it, Ukraine and/or NATO didn’t start this.

Putin, and Russia in general have a massive grievance over what they perceive as their humiliation internationally when the Soviet Union collapsed. That's a huge part of their motivation

Right now they are being humiliated again in Ukraine. This may well make Putin more aggressive not less, and encourage lots of Russians to back him

If they had brown skin the west would have been imploring that we deal with these bastards long before now tbh.

Doubt it's anything to do with skin colour and more to do with the fact that they are one of the world's most powerful nations, have the second biggest armed forces int he world, a load of nukes and possess a real threat of disrupting the whole world or worse.

Facts are, if you have power you can be an arse and Russia have done that (as have other powerful nations) knowing that other countries will do their best to avoid conflict.

If Iraq had nukes and a massive army the Americans would have been far less gung ho to go in there and start a war.

The same things you list can be levelled at China and nowts done against them neither because they know that one could unleash a he'll worse than Russia can.

SEVENTEEN mile long convoy of Russian vehicles sat ouside Kyiv on main roads. Should / would be absolute sitting ducks for any competant air force or army or anyone opposed to the invasion.

Ukraine should go on the offence and obliterate the fuckers.
