Yep. I'm not one who thinks fans know everything - sometimes the popular choices flop totally - but it's very rare that you get an appointment who nobody wants end up being able to exceed expectations and win fans over (certainly in my experience following Sunderland).

Absolutely nobody other than the directors thought Grayson or Parkinson or Wilkinson or Buxton would be anything other than disastrous, and they weren't. To my mind, a Lennon/McCann/Woodgate-type appointent would be of the exact same ilk, equally damaging to fan confidence as it would be to our on-pitch prospects.
this is why id be happy enough with keane..i think nany of our fans are going ludicrously over the top about his ability and character..but cpmpared to the other names on offer, he is worth the risk. but only within the context of the overall plans the club have..

bruce did four promotions to keanes one promotion..and kept teams in the league for years..and got an unfashionable club to cup final..he wasnt a bad player either..
comparing his record as z manager to keanes is absolutely ludicrous

Bruce is on the merry go round whilst Keane walked away after falling out with short and was arguably sold a kipper at Ipswich.

meanwhile Brucey goes on the merrygo round and is seen as a success.

It's league one, not the prem.

Go iron your f***ing trousers.

It's a thorough process with integrity.

This week Judge's Houses; next week 6 chair challenge; week after in-tray prioritisation exercise, philosophy presentation and final interview. Appointment made in time for Wigan away.

In order of preference for Judge's Houses, I'd want:

1. Kyril and Floyd Mayweather in the luxury Val-d'Isere chalet.
2. Juan and Dimitry Rybolovlev in the cattle and cannabis ranch outside of Montevideo.
3. KS and Sinitta in a Sutton Coldfield bungalow.

my post is true..mike dodds doesnt work with safc first team..he probably knows a bit about the academy teams and those of rival clubs..but he wont know much about our first team or the first team of other league one clubs..why would he?

why cnat safc afford to be choosy? its a massive club in the play off places..
Because of the lack of quality candidates.
If Keane falls through we will remain a massive club in the playoffs places… at best.

It has to be Keane or Warnock, we don't have time for philosophies or USPs.

We have to go up this season and it's arguably more likely with a motivation merchant. [I do feel however that branded them that is a dis service aswell]

Bring a fancy dancy coach in and we don't go up, he's gonna lose half the squad and teaching philosophy again.

Keane is one of the best players ever, took sunderland from the bottom of the championship to premier league safety and people are saying he's done nowt. Yet Steve Bruce has made a career of getting promotion from the championship and doing fuck all else and is seen as a great appointment where ever he goes.
keane knows a lot about the philopphies of football..and aboyt USPs...

My concern with the set up is we let 2 defenders leave as we assumed one was coming. The one coming didn't happen so has left us horribly short of centre half's.

That's not the coaches fault, that's not the players fault, that's the director of footballs fault.

At what point is he accountable? We can't play 3 at the back as we don't have 3 fit centre half's so any coach is fucked before he starts.

KLD needs proper answers and to act

he does work at picking teams all dahy every day..how could he know which line up to use? he hasnt coached safc first team a day in his life
I am honestly staggered that people think a professional working in coaching at the club is incapable of doing anything other than pretty much photocopying last weeks teamsheet.

If that's what you think we can't expect more from him then wtf is he doing coaching our U23s?
