exactly...thats been my point all daySo why put him in charge?
Why didn't they change it after half an hour and get a winger or 2 on then? They're just cluelessFor all we know Keane may have had input. The side was fairly obviously chosen on the basis they had something to prove. Often you get a reaction to that, we didn’t. I think it’s as simple as that, no need to read any more in to it.
Man City can afford to be choosy, we can’t. Have you seen the shortlist of applicants?man city ask their applicants for u23s job...to do a presentation.

I’m sorry but unless the incumbent manager is showing gross incompetence then you don’t sack him then take a week to piss around sounding out various alternatives. We are in the middleSpeakman is clearly very thorough in his work and the things we see and hear at SAFC are becoming, rightly or wrongly, increasingly like a normal large organisation, e.g. the words they use, the processes etc. I imagine there are improvement programmes, succession plans, people meetings, and all kinds of stuff like where I work.
In a normal business you would be very thorough in the interviews if the position was absolutely critical to business success, and that's what they are doing.
Of course in football, while undertaking a thorough process, you've lost two games in addition to those you lost to create the vacancy and there's absolute hell on.
my post is true..mike dodds doesnt work with safc first team..he probably knows a bit about the academy teams and those of rival clubs..but he wont know much about our first team or the first team of other league one clubs..why would he?Are you taking the piss tonight or what like?
why cnat safc afford to be choosy? its a massive club in the play off places..Man City can afford to be choosy, we can’t. Have you seen the shortlist of applicants?
One Box Office outstanding candidate
the rest… Lee Johnson wannabes
What the fucks the point in interviewing Keano and getting us excited, if they had no intention of employing him. No one knows wtf is going on.
There’s a 1000 possibilities as to what’s going on, Keano arguing about the length of the contract, speakman worried about Keano being out the game too long, Methven and Donald not wanting Keano as he’ll shout about the shit state of the club in the press if it goes tits up etc.
If we end up with Grant McCann though I’ll be sick as a parrot.
I’ll repeat again for you should I……mike dodds or any of the others put in charge yesterday did not have to have experience of working with the first team or be an expert on this league to know that making only 1 change to a team battered the week before and playing in the same manner would produce one outcome and one outcome only.why would mike dodds know that about the opposition? he doesnt work with our first tea,m..so wont be an expert on this league or have watched many games...
Hate this league. Keene could be the way out but if he doesn’t could dropping current strategy set us back a couple of seasons? I don’t have the answers but see it’s far more complex than some fans believe. We've NOT followed this doctrine since Allardyce left the club and its served us well hasn't it. Making decisions the fans blow up the next day.
Unite the fans with someone we trust and miracles can happen.
I think some fans love the division, because they're really do believe its the fans fault these past few years.
I dont but could have done a better job than he did yesterdaymy post is true..mike dodds doesnt work with safc first team..he probably knows a bit about the academy teams and those of rival clubs..but he wont know much about our first team or the first team of other league one clubs..why would he?

Think the lad Doyle is the problem he needs a break really looks lost at times
I had similar discussion last night with him on here.... id save ya energyAre you taking the piss tonight or what like?
If we end up with McCann or an ilk appointment and we dont go up they will be lucky if there are 15,000 there next season.
A massive day or two for this club.
Yep. I'm not one who thinks fans know everything - sometimes the popular choices flop totally - but it's very rare that you get an appointment who nobody wants end up being able to exceed expectations and win fans over (certainly in my experience following Sunderland). We've NOT followed this doctrine since Allardyce left the club and its served us well hasn't it. What big strong leaders though? If they wanted to please every fan I’ve spoken to -a couple of big strong leaders would have been in months ago but what do we know ?!!
bruce did four promotions to keanes one promotion..and kept teams in the league for years..and got an unfashionable club to cup final..he wasnt a bad player either..It has to be Keane or Warnock, we don't have time for philosophies or USPs.
We have to go up this season and it's arguably more likely with a motivation merchant. [I do feel however that branded them that is a dis service aswell]
Bring a fancy dancy coach in and we don't go up, he's gonna lose half the squad and teaching philosophy again.
Keane is one of the best players ever, took sunderland from the bottom of the championship to premier league safety and people are saying he's done nowt. Yet Steve Bruce has made a career of getting promotion from the championship and doing fuck all else and is seen as a great appointment where ever he goes.
He proved himself to be miles out of touch in regards to the current situation. Played the same side that got humped, made no HT subs and when he did make them it was too late.my post is true..mike dodds doesnt work with safc first team..he probably knows a bit about the academy teams and those of rival clubs..but he wont know much about our first team or the first team of other league one clubs..why would he?
