RAWA Supporter's groups meeting with SAFC - 16th Feb

The only reason why I can think that people would be interested is to moan about whatever that answer is.

The club have already confirmed he has a controlling interest.

Hi mate. I'm not sure if you were aware or not but we had a game today. Won 1-0 after a slow start. New defender looks good on first impressions.

I know the above is way down your list of priorities, with the censorship of SAFC's ownership taking front seat, but I just thought you would like to know.

Ownership percentages
KLD has already stated that he is not currently in a position to comment on that. There is clearly some NDA or such like in place re that so why waste time even asking the question? It will be knocked back and just cause more angst that we can all do without.
The zoo that is the south stand

Not that I frequent the area when in attendance but has become a weekly annoyance to many
Whats your answer to fix that? and what is it that actually needs fixing?

I am in the South stand and have no issues. I dont use the food or drink kiosks home or away so dont spend time down on the concourse other than to use the toilets as and when. Nobody around me has expressed any 'annoyance' either. Who is 'annoyed' on a weekly basis and are they in other stands or are they just on the internet and have heard about stuff that leads them to get annoyed about something that happens in the South stand when they themselves are not even there?

Any chance of safe standing?
We are not one of the clubs selected for the trial. No other clubs will get safe standing until the trial is complete and has then been assessed by the authorities concerned. Whats the point in asking questions like this that SAFC have zero control over? Most people on here could answer that question here and now (and I just have).

I admittedly don't know how easy this is to do, or even if there are legal/health and safety reasons why it can't but at half time today they had the lad who does the red sky charity on with a couple of people who had saved someone with a defibrillator.

Can we not have a video or steps to take shown on the screens (instead of happy birthday messages in a tiny font people can barely read anyway) on basic first aid stuff or how to actually use a defibrillator?

It's under the spotlight at the min with games stopping all the time but I wouldn't have a clue what to do it it ever happened to someone.

I'm not expecting a full first aid course of course but Red Sky have just donated another defibrillator to the stadium and most probably don't know what to do with them.

I think (but don't quote me on this as I might be mis-remembering) its been mentioned previously that this is something they're looking to do in the future. Could be one to ask about, hopefully they can sort it for next season like, would be good having the capability (although I'd hope they'd still offer physical cards for those who want them)
Yes I agree, give you the option, only as I know once this season I’ve forgot mine and once my eldest had it in his wallet and was away 🙈🙈🙈

A simple fix for the club - can we start matches attacking the North Stand rather than the Roker End. This would give us the advantage of attacking towards our most vociferous fans in the second half when we might conceivably be in desperate need of a goal.

Might only create a small advantage, but getting cheered on rather than attacking a half empty North Stand and (away fans) must be more of an incentive for players to give last ounce of effort in the closing stages of the games.

Absolutely agree about the speakers, you'd think there'd be some sort of H&S concern there, surely you've got to be able to clearly inform fans of any issues. Luckily you doubt it'll happen but if it did you wouldn't want to rely on that sounds system, think theres a duty of care to prioritise it.

Definitely in an emergency situation, but even the mundane messages that happen often need to be heard. The likes of "can ..... move their car" or "can ..... make themselves know to a steward" etc.

Why

Eh. Was in the SS for a change today. No issues. So what's your issue
Ok..so despite the weekly threads on issues in the south stand and concourse, it's absolutely bloody fine and there's nothing to see here

Am not even sure how regular posters on PF can have missed the discussion.

As for "what are you going to do about it" - guess what - sod all as i believe the point of RAWA and this thread is to "raise issues" not "fix the whole club yasel"

From reading the weekly reports of bottle throwing and general animal behaviour in the south stand concourse I am surprised that is not top of your agenda. Absolutely mad it is allowed to happen time and time again.

As a temporary solution….close the stand.
