I took it as they were gonna die anyway so fuck em. Neither is exactly a pleasant way of looking at things.
Just your biased viewpoint, for there is no way you can define such charicteristics by a few posts on a forum...if that were true, I'd be in police custody (see obesity fix thread)
Of course you’d be defending him.
I'm not a Barrister, though Brandon said I'd claimed to be one...the imagination is a wonderful thing.

Sky News have carried out a statistical analysis of excess deaths for 2020 and 2021 which is the only true way to get to the impact of COVID-19. They used all data sources including ONS.

Their summary: "Take an average of the mortality rate over these two years and we have never seen as big a deterioration since 1940/41.

And you have to go back to WWI and the Spanish Flu to find another period of two or more years which were all far worse the preceding five-year average."

And that is taking into account the saving grace of the vaccines and modern medicine and ignoring the impact of long Covid.

The average age nowadays plays a big part. When the Chinese flu hit in 1969 / 70 the average age was 70 plus people were fitter, so beggars the question "If the Chinese flu made an appearence next winter, would the death toll be more than 82,000.

The answer is a resounding yes.

What on Earth are you talking about?

With the advances in medical treatment since 1969, and if lockdowns and vaccines were implemented for it in the same way as they have been for coronavirus then your "Chinese flu" might only kill a few thousand if it were to occur next winter and the following year. Covid 19 has been much worse than any flu (bar the Spanish flu) and that it not even considering the effects of long Covid.

Long Covid done my lungs for a year...but I am very old.

ps. There's no evidence that restrictions saved lives...we have to wait until it's all over for those numbers to be crunched.

There’s been so much hysteria over the past two years that people have forgotten how rare it is for a healthy person under the age of 80 to be seriously affected by this virus. People get touchy when you point that out too, it’s odd.
Well I know a few healthy people including a runner who it did affect.

So 17000 people died of a virus who would almost definitely not have done, then you have to consider the people with underlying illness but would also not have died without the virus, it just goes to show how dangerous this virus could have been had we not locked the country down and developed a vaccine, we'd be absolutely fucked by now. Economy would be in tatters and the mood of the world would be very different.

He’s told you…you said 17,371 deaths from covid with no underlying causes but you’ve actually only given the 2020 number and completely excluded 2021. That makes what you said untrue.
I never mentioned the year.

Fail. What was untrue?
I see @Floyd has made his views perfectly clear on other threads. This person is an utter idiot with clear anti-vax and covid denial agenda.
Stalker.
I'm must say I'm surprised. I thought the ONS always released their data with CAPITALISED WORDS in the text for emphasis.

Just waiting for his linky to check.
Ur mental. What is it with u & ‘links‘? U Either disbelieve ONS figures or think I’ve mistaken them. Which is it? Again, put up or stfu.
Where you're trying to make out people with underlying conditions haven't died from covid.
Where have I ‘tried to make our’ that?
Honestly man...

By Christ, you’re dumb as a post!

You said:

“TOTAL deaths in England & Wales from COVID-19 with NO OTHER UNDERLYING CAUSES

17,371”

That’s incorrect, the total is higher. You presented the total for 2020, completely ignoring the deaths from 2021.
