It's mad how things work out isn't it. I read somewhere with the way amortisation works on transfers we could spend 200m and not be in danger.

We won't spend anywhere near that. I'd be surprised if we got near 100 tbh. Trippier for 12 is good business. Tarkowski for a reasonable fee I'd imagine potentially next.
Trippier for £12M suggests to me his club aren't too bothered about him leaving as they are losing £8M.

So they have a very good full back now. I'd just tell my players to attack down the opposite wing, and if i can see it i'm sure others can. BtW, who is the other full back for them?

Diego Simeone:
'We want him to stay, but you can’t force anyone to stay. An extraordinary player, he is an extraordinary footballer that has given us a lot. But as I have said, it depends on him. We hope that Trippier can stay but I don’t know if you can’t hold anyone back in life.'

Guillem Balague:
'Trippier close to leaving, mostly his decision. Newcastle had his go ahead as far back as November and fee could be around £13m. Simeone appreciates him so much that he changed to title winning system to 5-3-2 to accommodate him. But he wouldn't stop anyone who wants to leave'

Fabrizio Romano:
'Trippier wanted to leave - his decision was key to complete the move.'

Sky Sports:
'Atletico hoped Trippier would stay, but the defender made it clear he wanted to return to England.'

Absolutely spot on. His attitude stinks. Can't see him fancying a relegation scrap at Newcastle when you can sit on your arse in that there London and get paid 350 grand a week regardless. It sounds like it's Arsenal trying to force him out rather than the player himself.
Aye but they love a world famous number 9 ;)
Only £12m for Trippier? That will leave plenty money left for them to finance bombing school buses in Yemen.

No morals bastards.
..aye but jealousy;). Seriously though i couldn't believe the nerve of UNICEF's Olivia Coleman advert being on Christmas day when all this has gone on man

Shit signing at the price and wages.
He's a bottom half Premier league player.
None of the top 6, Leicester, West Ham, Wolves, Everton would want him.

Says it all.🤷‍♂️

Simeone has been interviewed many times discussing how much he rates Tripper. He has recently again said he would like to keep the player but it's hard when their minds made up to move.

They haven't binned him off, they literally played him in their last game. He won the league with them last season.
Managers often speak well of players that are leaving, aye Madrid or Newcastle guess his heart was set on a move to a club in relegation trouble or was it one last BIG PAYDAY

Idiot

I never said it wasn't for the money. Of course it is. I refuted that the player voted RB of the season in spain was rubbish and his ability declining 🤣

I see the mask slipped on mag in piss....

Tried to downplay any spending incase they didn't and now they have giving it the big un like the rest of the WUMs.

Imagine the uproar if Bruce and Ashley brought in a RB heading towards the end of their career on 200k a week.... 😂
Always been a snide

They are on the verge of signing a 32 year old right back and here they come, out of the sewer. Rat.

Blood money stated running I see.

On BBC Newcastle TV this morning (it should use this name to reflect its output) the scottish lass was near hysterical with delight at the blood money signing.

Perhaps she should reflect on what their ownership did to one of her profession.

When we were in the premiership and the mags relegated the local BBC went out their way to ensure equal coverage despite the status of the clubs. Good to see they are upholding that when the tables are turned. Not.
