Apparently Ashley left them with the capacity to spend over £100m IIRC. Best owner they’ve ever had! 😂
It's mad how things work out isn't it. I read somewhere with the way amortisation works on transfers we could spend 200m and not be in danger.

We won't spend anywhere near that. I'd be surprised if we got near 100 tbh. Trippier for 12 is good business. Tarkowski for a reasonable fee I'd imagine potentially next.

Hardly anybody has claimed he isn't a good signing, he is. But people are just saying he's not worth what they're paying him. They also need a left back and centre back more than a right back.

Hes a good signing but to argue he's worth 150k a weekcis just wrong.
There's no denying Trippier will improve the Mags and they need a few decent players to keep them up and they will need to pay over the going rate. They're looking for a quick sgort term fix to guarantee safety this season and not yet bothered about some young talent who can develop over time.

The buying model they will be using now with throwing overinflated deals at players won't be sustainable as it isn't the 90's any more. Overspending on wages for a few players won't take them anywhere near the FPP as they've got at least £150m to waste before they hit that, though they won't spend all that this window.

Staying up will mean a few more decent players in next season for a push for the top half and also look to grow revenue as fast as possible to ensure more investment. If they get relegated then it will obviously be a spanner in the works regarding time and they will lose 10's of millions in revenue and struggle to attract the likes of even Trippier in the Championship. 'Wasting' a bit money now overspending isn't such a big deal if they stay up given the cost of relegation.

Trippier is obviously on silly money but I wouldn't be surprised if there's also a bonus of a few million if they stay up to give him a bit more incentive to graft on the pitch. Even though he's already a multi millionaire it's clear he's still a bit greedy and going for the money he wouldn't get anywhere else. I hope the Mags still manage to fuck it up and they go down and the likes of Trippier and whoever else signs for the blood money will probably be labelled a failed money grabbing mercenary

A forward to get you the goals you need is going to be the bank breaker. Wilson is a good striker but you can’t rely on him week in week out!

On the plus side, if they get a few players in they should be able to fulfil some of their fixtures whilst ASM/Wilson are out rather than using it is a BS excuse to postpone them until they have a better team. W****s

We have spent 12m I'm hardly giving it the biggun. We spent 40 on Joelinton ffs

Paint it how you want but he's hardly heading towards the end of his career FFS the lad was voted right back of the year in Spain last season.
It would have helped him though playing in a team that is built on, and has had all its success, thru a strong defensive ethos……

They’ve got enough up front and in and around midfield to get them out of trouble

Strengthening from the back is the main issue for them atm

Don't know why there is such a denial. The boy is a good player.

Just so typical of your cronies to start comparing the deal to Trai Hume. F*cking bizarre.

Of course it would but that doesn't mean he's a shit player at the end of his career 🤣

Not with Wilson crocked for months we don't. Gayle isn't getting those goals. I'd worry if they risk it all on Brereton Diaz too who let's be honest may be promising but it's one hell of a risk.

I can't deny that. I've always stated we have some massive helmets in our fan base.

How long is ASM out for then? And is the wilson out for months confirmed?

Not even just saying this cos am red and white through and through but I don't think I've ever came across a mag fan that was so f*cking delusional

I've not seen it confirmed but initially they said 2-3 months.

Howe said ASM wasn't serious so I'd imagine he will be back for our next game. Sometimes I reckon he just gives up because he's tired and cba anymore 🤣
