Off he goes. So predictable:

@henrywinter Kieran Trippier will bring so much to #nufc. Outstanding right-back or wing-back, can play left, and delivers a good cross and dead-ball. Trippier’s a winner, a leader, vocal and will expect/demand total commitment on and off the pitch. Good character, top bloke, great signing.
How long is ASM out for then? And is the wilson out for months confirmed?

Nah. ASM back next PL game. Wilson will be a month

I've not seen it confirmed but initially they said 2-3 months.

Howe said ASM wasn't serious so I'd imagine he will be back for our next game. Sometimes I reckon he just gives up because he's tired and cba anymore 🤣
Just the character you need in a relegation battle

Depends when your next game will be when you keep sacking them off to play them with a stronger team…

Covids 10 days. With those back and ASM back we will play the next game whether we are still weakened or affected. People that genuinely believe we played that system are mad. By the time we had our first game postponed we had played 19 and Burnley 15.

It's just mad to suggest we would play man city, man utd , Liverpool and hide from soton.
I still don’t think he improves it, and I could see Burnley demanding an inflated fee. Although the wages won’t be so much of an issue.
6 months left. They can demand all they want or he'd just go in the summer and they'd recoup much less.

Or they could keep him to help them stay up which would be worth more to them than his transfer fee now. Guess it depends where his head is. Both could get relegated tbh so he might be better off finding a club higher up the league

What’s mad about that? Get games that you’re not likely to get something from out of the way, to reduce future fixture congestion, then move the matches that you’re targeting for points so that you can reduce current fatigue whilst hoping to have a stronger squad in place for the more important games?

Absolutely…..Saints are playing well atm and the Mags did not want to risk playing them or indeed Everton until they had better players and a better chance of getting full points from those games.
They might though have been better off playing Everton last week

Did you join the amnesty protest before the first game? Have you done anything other than tarnish all Newcastle fans on here with the same brush?

Considering you have backed financially Amnesty for 30 years, it seems awfully odd you wouldn't join the cause with an issue on your doorstep.
Unfortunately, the tiny minority of you who don’t want them or say nowt are drowned out by the vast majority having parties in the street, having a Saudi picky tea dressed in a bedsheet and gloating at how rich you are, like the crass twats you are, and we all knew you were. That’s all everyone else sees now. its them that’s tarnished you with the same brush. Not us.

Agree completely, but are fans of other clubs actually that arsed? I saw some complaints and banners when it first went through but haven't seen much criticism since then. Suppose it doesn't help when the media is up their arse.

These things always die down and its job done for the perps, suppose its not human to keep unrelenting pressure and focus up - after a few days of the winter olympics and a week of the next world cup everything will be just normal to watch world cup games in Qatar in December or bobsleighing in a country like China.
Almost think the initial commotion can help, because even if it dies down to a simmer, the perception is its yesterday's news.

Exactly....and again the unanswered question, just how many Covid positive players did Newcastle have?
