I’ve just posted similar, the local mag writers need to concentrate less on the jam yesterday and tomorrow any future manager might bring and concentrate on finding someone who can bring the jam needed today which is winning a relegation battle.

Tbh I think he would be a good choice. He did well for a while in the PL and let's be honest not many managers get to stick around for all that long anyway. He'll organise you lot, bag the necessary players in January to steady the ship and keep you up.

Not the champagne manager that the mags are craving, but they have to realise having money doesn't just flick the switch to attract the best, the club has to get it's shit together first and start looking like a serious project.
