Cancelling the second interviews was just daft really. Although Howe will probably still join them, I can’t see him being overly happy about the process and even less so about the relegation clause.

On the Guardian podcast yesterday they questioned the managers they were being linked with given their position. Although Howe is probably better then Emery for a relegation battle, an appointment like Hodgson would make more sense.

Looks like he’s your only option now.
The issue is when he wants to sign a player what is the model to follow.
A young player in a long contract, an older more experienced player who will have zero intention of moving on.
Whoever comes in will naturally want to implement there own choices.
Once Amanda gets out of her own arse and decides she wants a DOF they will decide the direction the club must head, not Eddie or whoever gets appointed.
Would you not prefer Nuno if he wanted it?

"There's nobody working within the new consortium that has been involved in a football club before, so this is all new to them. There are teething problems for them, and maybe they'll look back at this in months to come and think there were some mistakes at the start, but that is often the way with new owners coming in.

I wonder how the top teams around Europe have taken the news of this takeover? I can’t see them being particularly happy the Saudi state and their unlimited pot of cash are now in the mix. I’d like to think they’re having an influence on this lack of activity.
