Pathetic and embarrassing chanting

I really couldn’t give a shite what McClean does or says anymore. This is a form of meaningless whataboutery. The subject of McClean has been done to death.

Any songs of a sectarian nature shouldn’t be welcomed or condoned. Any defence put forward is not legitimate.

I suppose Patrick Kielty having women in balaclavas on stage with him means he is IRA scum too?

the absolute nonsense and insulting judgement calls on this matter from utter morons is rather enlivening

I was there mate and didn’t hear anything sectarian.

Im not defending some of the singing, but it’s important we don’t blow things out of proportion. Should it be called out when people cross the line? Yes. But it’s also important things aren’t exaggerated.

This is not a dig at you bud, but when I saw the thread this morning, I just knew it would attract the non-attending WUMs

How do you know who is attending and non-attending? The OP was there, he said he heard it, you didn’t. I don’t disbelieve either of you.

Ive heard it plenty at home and on the road. Small minorities, but vocal. It’s a fairly simple point I’m making and (this isn’t aimed at you as much as your last point wasn’t aimed at me) I fail to see how and why anyone of reasonable mind wouldn’t just condemn it and say it’s not welcome here.

There’s some attempts of justification, some crying ‘woke’ and some suggestions that the easily offended shouldn’t attend. In reality, songs about players being sex offenders and anything of a sectarian nature just shouldn’t be sang. It’s beneath a very good club.

I'm unclear as to whether you are saying the OP misheard "F*ck the IRA" being shouted out or whether you are saying because you didn't hear it it didn't happen?
It reads to me like HS is saying they didn't hear it and that perhaps because they didn't hear it it maybe wasn't as wide spread as some may believe.

while it is great that not everyone is doing it, obviously, the diminishing of it and even lionising of it is the issue here really don't you think?

Yes I'm merely pointing out that my interpretation of the post wasn't that the poster was suggesting it didn't happen more that some may think near enough everyone was involved. Regardless, there is absolutely no place for it.

Cat, I think you and Arfa may be just about on the same page here

Is English your second language? Seriously I'm not going to pick faults if you're actually Albanian. But if you're not, surely you can read your own post - and the one before - and see they make no sense.
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

One shouldn't really start a sentence with "But" and you had to go back and edit this post to make it somewhat more sensible.

I joined in.
I thought they were singing 'Charlie Wyke is your best defender "
Half the time you can't make out the words anyway. I had a mate years ago who was a Boro supporter, and at that time (the alledged) Teesside family sex abuse accusations were going on. At a Boro home game the away fans were chanting "Child Molesters" at the Boro fans. Me mate's wife said to him " Why are they shouting Charlton Heston"?
