Robinson suspended

I haven’t seen a single article that says anything to destroy him. I’d appreciate if you could dig one out

It's the constant mentioning of it which for me portrays an attempt to try and destroy and make an example of the lad. The ECB will keep it going to mask over their own failings and racism allegations relating to the umpires.

I had a Google. There seems to be a lot of focus on his performance, and then the news he’d been suspended. And then the politicians

as much as you hate it, that’s news
Watch the news channel
But you hate the BBC, you say this all the time. Are you watching it?

It's been news for 5 days because the BBC have decided it's news. Who accused anyone of trying to kill his career?- link please.
Post 125

it’s news that it happened. It’s news the ECB suspended him (rightly or wrongly). It’s news that Johnson has commented

It’s being covered by every outlet. It’s not unique to the BBC.

"Kill" is permanent ,the word used was " ruin" from which he can recover - that' s not just semantics. The lad will be mentally ruined at present and is in need of some compassion. The culture Secretary has chosen to offer some- obviously feels strongly about the issue.

I think you’ve read too much into how I used the word, but ok.

I agree with the rest of your post, but the fact that he has commented is news. That’s why the BBC (and the rest of the press) have covered it. They’re not ruining/killing him by covering that.

I'm pretty sure the lad will be shot to pieces but the media will be wholly unsympathetic to that. It's a sad incitement on today's priorities that a few insensitive tweets several years ago apparently warrant 5 days of headlines.

Im sure he will be yes. But I’m still struggling with what the media have done. Like it or not, it’s a story. The suspending him is a story. The PM backing him is a story. That’s not the media creating news, that’s actually news.

the articles I have read on it have actually been supportive about how he performed on day 2 onwards, strength and that. I don’t think I’ve seen a story where he is has been castigated
