Crowds Next Season

if we go up assuming no restrictions, it will be a full house first game then probably settle around 30-35k

Itll be interesting to see how there going to do it if are restrictions
I was watching Westlife yesterday (I know I know but I'm female and I love them) on Lorraine and they were saying that they have been given the go ahead from 'the powers that be / the government' (their words) for their 2 dates at Wembley on August 21st/22nd.
Surely if they are allowed go go ahead their can't possibly be any restrictions on crowds at football matches.

Unless it's Newcastle, absolutely no chance.

The last full house bar the derby games (ignoring any cheap ticket incentives) was probably about 20 years ago.
I'd normally agree with you here but I personally think that the post covid easing of restrictions will see a surge in demand from supporters who'd have otherwise been less bothered about going.

Anybody that won't attend the match because of players taking the knee for 5 seconds won't be missed - absolute knackers.
Speak for yourself, it’s their choice, our support isn’t as woke as you think, just wait and see. The boos will ring out if they are still doing it. I think people forget let summer when people were ripping down statues, defacing war memorials with the BLM letters and that everyone was racist if they didn’t agree and the police had to be defunded. They are the absolute knackers.

We gave up our season tickets when we got relegated from the prem.
Never went to any games in championship but went to almost all in league 1 .
Was talking to a lad at work yesterday and between us it looks like 5 or 6 season tickets are on the cards , covid allowing.
So just from this I suspect a hell of alot will purchase season cards.

Not had a season ticket since the Poyet season, living 2 hours away now took its toll and the shite football served up was tedious, so I decided to pick and choose my games.

became a UK member under the old regime and it was great especially getting a ticket for the play off final, made me feel like a ST holder still.

I am definitely getting a season card for next season as I reckon with the new owners, much better football on show and the release from Covid will electrify the atmosphere.

I think KLD won’t be building mediocrity if we go up this season, with his contacts he won’t want to have a mid table team, he seems very ambitious and to get us on the world stage he needs us in the PL.

one thing is for sure it’s going to be one hell of a roller coaster ride.

Call it what you want but trying to erase history because a criminal got murdered off a racist pig thousands of miles away is a bit silly. Chuck in racist while your at it but I bet you anything you wouldn’t say anything to anyone if they piped up on matchday

f***ing right I would 'pipe up' and have done twice at Old Trafford and Wigan.

first game back will be a full house. Win and play well and the next couple will be very close to full too.

you don't know how good you have it until it's taken away and that will have created a hunger to get back to games.

If we manage to get up and are in the Championship next season, what sort of crowds do you think we’d get? Assuming there were no restrictions of course, I reckon we could attract 35 - 40k for most games, with well over 40k for some of the bigger ones. There seems a genuine buzz and positivity about us at present; I would like to think there’ll be loads who can’t wait to get back to watching live games.

Be interesting to see if the last year has put anyone off attending games in future; there are bound to be some I suppose.

absolutely no chance, will be lucky to get 30k unless we’re dishing out free tickets left right and centre again

If we go up and KLD spends and shows ambition I firmly believe we will have very big crowds. People are getting the buzz back.

I can't wait to get back in man. I will be having my jabs first like and the boy will be going in full hazmat seeing as he's only 16 and I dunno when they expect him to be vaccinated.

I’d be interested in the thoughts of some of the older fans. Would you have any issues about going back to the match if all restrictions are removed in August.
