Crowds Next Season

If we manage to get up and are in the Championship next season, what sort of crowds do you think we’d get? Assuming there were no restrictions of course, I reckon we could attract 35 - 40k for most games, with well over 40k for some of the bigger ones. There seems a genuine buzz and positivity about us at present; I would like to think there’ll be loads who can’t wait to get back to watching live games.

Be interesting to see if the last year has put anyone off attending games in future; there are bound to be some I suppose.

I'll admit I havent had a season ticket for these past 2 seasons however I'd seriously consider getting one. I'm sure more would think the same

Around 30k regular. 40k plus if we are flying. 52k if we play the Mags.
I can’t speak for everyone, but a lot of my mates who haven’t been to games for a few years are desperate to go back.

I can’t wait to be back and think the atmosphere will be tremendous for the first game back without restrictions.
I went to the match from 1994 until the Moyes demise. Only been to Bradford on Boxing Day 2018 (?) since then. I am now dying to go the match.

I reckon around 30/35k regularly, with 40k+ at the bigger games or towards the business end of the season if we are pushing for playoffs/promotion (wishful thinking I know). I do think that the first few games will be closer to sell outs though, and I think it'll be the case across the majority football grounds after everything that has gone on over the last year. Will be a bit of a novelty to begin with.

First few games we're allowed back in at full capacity I imagine it will be close to if not a full house. Will probably tail off to around 32-34k average i'd have thought, depends how well we do.

L1 probably 25k ish.

Aye, I'd imagine most EFL clubs will get close to if not a full sell out for the first game or two back.

Agree cannot wait to go to a live game. Wonder how it's going to feel NOT having games on the box almost 7 days a week and multiple times for K.O. Not watching terrestrial TV channels at all. If promoted wouldn't be suprised to see first home game a full sell out.Onwards and upwards . FTM.

I think most clubs will be like this, don't be surprised to see a few modern day attendance records smashed in the first few months with the excitement of having fans back in stadiums.

Can even see L2 and National League clubs getting record numbers.

Got to remember in the PL we were getting 40k but around 5k of that were PL fans, 2k were away fans and 5k were freebies that the club handed out. I reckon we’ll get 33ish with more for the bigger games.

We’ll sell out first few games absolutely no problem. After that it’ll depend how we’re playing like. 35k average would be deeply impressive with the amount of midweek games there are. I suspect 32k would be about right for a good season.

Unless it's Newcastle, absolutely no chance.

The last full house bar the derby games (ignoring any cheap ticket incentives) was probably about 20 years ago.

Its hard to tell imo, i cannot wait to be back though there’s definitely a buzz about

I’m glad we are talking about the likes of this again, seems like its been forever.
