Michael Vaughan

I see he is giving Moeen Ali stick. The lad has been isolated, not been well ffs. If he wants to go home then I totally agree with him. I have lived in Yorkshire for years and he is the worst kind of Yorkshireman - a total arse!

Ugh I actually agree. I’ll be writing #justsaying and onon at the end of every post next
Unfortunately, "this"

"#justsaying"

Clearly Moeen should go home now, but he should have gone before the test.

I also blame the selectors for having some players for some of a series (e.g. Buttler - he's in the squad for all 4 tests, or none IMO)

I'm afraid Moeen shouldn't be considered for The Ashes tour

Theres a lot of cricket between now and then and the problem will answer itself.

Just read the latest since my post above, and that it was "always the plan" that Moeen would go home now?

Maybe I missed it, and I knew (and disagreed) about Buttler's 1 test, but not Moeen's 2?

He’s getting slagged off to the hilt on twitter for his latest piece I don’t get why it was spot on

he didn’t even criticise Ali, just the policy

I’ve probably done this in the past but he’s defs getting slagged off for that piece because of previous things he’s said, if you read the piece he’s reasonable

read his column

he’s not criticising Ali

think people have got that wrong, he’s criticising the policy

I don’t like the bloke but I think he’s getting stick for something he hasn’t actually said here

Must be shit touring at the minute mind, even more so if you end up isolating. Not sure if criticise anyone for deciding they've had enough.

Player welfare is important, but that seems lost on Vaughan in that tweet.

It was always the plan Mooen would go home after the second test. This changed yesterday when Silverwood asked Mooen if he'd reconsider but Mooen having promised his family he was going home to see them declined the offer.

He's like Morgan mate, a headline grabbing gobshite. And like Morgan I've no intention of seeking out his detailed musings in a newspaper. Happy to take your word for it on this occasion.

fair play, I dont like him either mind, thought he was spot on the selection policy, for some reason the other media just bit afraid to say it

I just think it's difficult times, and they have to be more accommodating than normal. As I said I couldn't fancy touring in a bubble like they are.
