We need coaches to match the players. What I'm saying is this bloke could be brilliant but he's been at an unsussesful club for nearly a decade and a half. Surely if he was that good he'd have been head hunted before no?and schwarz is qualified for neither of them
Not a genius but history of being reasonably successful
since these idiots took over us most of staff have left the academy
no idea why we sacked McNamee for bain’s Mate
The 41-year-old has already said his farewells at Birmingham City, where he was in charge of their academy and oversaw the development of Jude Bellingham, who moved to Borussia Dortmund in July, as well as Premier League stars such as Nathan Redmond and Demarai Gray.
He will immediately take over the vacant role at Sunderland, with a remit to help find a new head of the academy and to restructure the decimated scouting system.

If he were in a remote area i'd agree. However Villa in same city. Wolves and Leicester both improved massively recently too and not a snif from either. As always the new manager appointment will tell us all we need to know about where we're going. What about the lad choosing to stay at one club for personal/ family reasons?
‘Working alongside Jim rodwell’
