Ive said it before on here, and i will say it again,i dont want any fucker taking over this club and not making a profit. This obsession on here of people making money boils my piss.If and its a big if he has made a profit next season we as a club have been successful.Do i want him to stay no,do i want promotion aye desperately.

The worry isn't that people don't want him to make a profit. The concern is that, because he knows he can get a decent profit if we go up, he might be actively not listening to fair bids now. If he suddenly gets it right, we get a young, hungry, pacy side and tear up the league then great, he can have it. All evidence thus far, however, suggests that he'll make more mistakes, still not get us up, and potentially risk the club's entire future. He's basically gambling at this point. He's not got the people or the vision to get us promoted but he'll roll the dice again because he can't accept that he's going to make a loss. For the gambler at the roulette machine who is down on their money, sometimes the last spin will come in and they'll go home up, but the majority of the time it leads to worse and worse problems. Only in this scenario he's not the only one that suffers.

Had to chuckle at this one :)

Pinocchio, Snow White and Superman are out for a stroll in town one day.
As they walk, they come across a sign: "Beauty contest for the most beautiful woman in the world.
"I am entering" said Snow White. After half an hour she comes out and they ask her, "Well, how.did you do?"
"First Place," said Snow White.
They continue walking and they see a sign: "Contest for the strongest man in the world."
"I'm entering," says Superman. After half an hour he returns and they ask him, "How did you make out?"
"First Place," answers Superman. "Did you ever doubt?"
They continue walking when they see a sign: "Contest! Who is the greatest liar in the world?"
Pinocchio says "this is mine." Half an hour later, he returns with tears in his eyes.
"What happened?" they asked.
"Who the hell is Stewart Donald ?" asked Pinocchio

This “news” doesn’t surprise me. Any potential bidders are in a tricky position. If everything is kept confidential, as it should be, any serious bidders are at the mercy of Donald and Co’s disinterest. If they make themselves public, they are open to either ridicule and / or the problem of raising expectations.

That means Donald keeps control of the cards until something changes dramatically or, more likely, he gets what he wants.

He probably thinks that potential suitors know he's under pressure to sell from fans and maybe sense weakness in his position. He'll be thinking one last shot at getting us up changes that dynamic totally and puts him in a strong position selling something one promotion away from the promised land.

He's got 10k sales and without a doubt the "force him out" thinking is a minority of fans.....i suspect a half decent start to the season would see crowds in excess of 20k. That is however assuming we're allowed back in.

If only 10,00 have renewed and we had 24,000 season ticket holders last season and 30, 000 plus average gates then it would appear that it's more than a minority who want him out. Unless of course I was off school the day they brought this new Maths in

Well, this bit sounds interesting.

"However, sources tell us of the group who have contacted Donald since lockdown in March are indeed serious. As well as financially well off, they have an exciting vision for the club to progress and even have lawyers in waiting ready to start a due diligence process as soon as possible"
I could tell someone in well off, Donald and sartori are more than wealthy enough between them, they just don't want to spend their own money on the club, which in fairness to them they've always said they want the club to be "sustainable" which is a nice way of saying we're not putting money into it. My gut instinct on this one is that anyone willing to show a journalist their bank accounts is a f***ing con man.

Generally anyone making a profit will have the club in a better place than when they found it. No problem with that. I think had we beaten charlton in the play offs and SD sold then most would be happy.

A lot of people including myself have an issue with SD using £20m of the clubs money to make himself a bigger profit. The longer this goes on it seems clearer that was his plan all along.

Agree mate, however i do believe we will go up.As loads on here myself included have said the amount of players in the EFL without security in future ,is huge.We have up to now been poor at recruitment,i get that, but it should be like hook a duck at the fair this summer.

I genuinely hate these fuckers in charge of our club however because I don't have the money or a plan for the future of the club I should just accept it.

I think.

Look in the mirror Rocko, step away from the keyboard, make that change, lead us Rocko, lead us.....[/QUOTE]
It's incredible that so many have renewed given there's little hope of even attending next season.

Fans.....
The club being in his hands just scares the shit out of me. Don’t trust him as owner, don’t trust him as seller.

Whee would ye trust? The "Awab man consortium"?

Aye maybe you're right. I just dont see promotion being the cause for much of a rise in value and I'm absolutely certain he wont want to make the losses the championship involves.

His whole time here continues to just be very strange.

I don't have any more details but I heard from someone I trust that one international group tried to make contact a few months back. The impression I got (I have no idea who the group is) was that they are probably not minted but they are very well experienced at organising sporting concerns around the world.

I haven't heard a peep since. That doesn't suggest to me that things are ticking along in the background, more that they didn't get off first base.

We don't know of course. Confidentiality is very important, the lack of it has maybe cost us in the past. But at the same time, when the club tell the fans' groups and the press that we are for sale, we have no idea of whether any of their intentions are serious or if they are simply continuing to string us along, probably the latter.
