Outdoor pools are open here, bars and restaurants up and running no issues to date mate - come July/August the budgie smugglers will be out on the beach on my hols

Of course, choosing not to put myself through a load of shit for a holiday having to watch my back then having to spend 14 days more locked down at home makes me dead bitter, aye.

More like can't believe how people would even want to put themselves through it for the sake of waiting a bit.

I think things will open up on the 15th June. At least I hope so. Friends of ours who have gites are expecting to be able to start up again then. We have had updates from Euro tunnel as to what the current situation is and the last one we got seemed to suggest that things will open up then. The main problem will be if there is some sort of tit-for-tat situation around the quarantine proposal, but to be honest I can put up with two weeks of that cos I'll be staying there til next year at least.

Was looking at renting a big barn or something around Suffolk for the holiday. Just a bit of peace and quiet.

None of that will be happening by then tho so nowt for you to get all worked up about. The 2 week quarantining nonsense will be abolished by the end of this week if not the next.

End of June for Uk citizens into Europe imo - still slightly behind the rest of it in terms of managing numbers along with Sweden

This is what was passed here for international travellers yesterday Czech Cabinet Approves Test-Free Travel From Selected European Countries From June 15th

Seems to burning itself out so Late July into August I reckon most will be back to normal

Maybe. It's a nonsense ruling either way as has been proven. Completely fucks up the tourism industry which is desperately trying to get back on its feet. You must self quarantine but you can still go to the shops and that. Champion. I've worked without any social distancing throughout all this so that makes sense. 👍

It's badly thought out and is barely worth the paper it is written on. Time will tell tho. ;)

Its another weird one in the Uk - they seem to have no idea how to police it so it is nothing more than a token gesture. Here you had to report to the authorities your arrival and they can randomly turn up to see if you are at home. A lot of people were caught and clobbered with a big fine as they used card payments in shops and bars. Slovakia was warse - state quarantine so you were just shipped off to some hotel somewhere :D

In Taiwan they would call people several times per day to make sure people weren't leaving mobiles at home whilst going. If phone was off or unanswered they would turn up and check said person was home
