Unpopular opinions you have

Two of my sisters work in the NHS, one says she is overpaid for what she does. Her opinion not mine. She is on a canny wage like, about £40,000pa for a 40 hour week (or is it 35hrs.) from what I can gather.

Trouble with the NHS is that it's top heavy. A family member says it's full of middle management professional meeting goers. She has been involved in some where all that is decided is the date and time of the next meeting. She quotes a department that hasn't grown in size over 10 years, but management has increased four fold, each with their own secretaries. In addition, the central buying contracts are ridiculously expensive.
Sort the above out and nurses could have a decent pay rise. Although I suspect the top end would be the first beneficiaries of any savings.

Middle grades are often over populated, too many promotions. But if there was no chance of promotion then the lower grades would become revolving doors and the work ethic and quality would diminish, 'why work harder when I can't get anywhere anyway, there is no success to strive for'

The amount of posters on here who think having a family member that works for the NHS qualifies them to give advice on how the NHS, the fifth biggest company in the world, should be ran :D

I take it the other way, you wouldn’t have so many wannabes.
Give them below a decent wage you don’t get as many.

wonder if they would be overpaid when they have to keep you alive and clean your arse when you have shat yourself due to some horrible disease.
Or are they overpaid having to work with people and watch them die every day?

there’s unpopular then there’s idiotic, especially in the current climate

couldn't give a fuck about Boris Johnson and find all this outpouring of sympathy for him embarrassing and tragic. wouldn't wish any harm on him, or anyone for that matter. however he's an awful human being who couldn't give a flying fuck about anyone but himself, and who would shit on every single one of us at any opportunity.

Like every other politician in the world.
