Surely most are on c20-25k though.

Ones on that much will be on that much due to either staff responsibility or certain skill levels

£40k will be a band 7 with supervision or managerial expectations very much in line with what would fetch 40k in corporate.

As I understand it, registered nurses start on £25k and each year progress up the pay band until they reach the top of their band after about seven years, when they’ll be on around £30k.

Most registered nurses are in bands five and six, so on £25k-£37k.

Fair pay for what they do, IMO.
