Whisky

Craigellachie 23 is meant to be fantastic, been keeping an eye on auction sites but it rarely goes for under £200, it's currently £345 on Amazon and I don't fancy paying that. Recently ordered this of theirs though, seems a bargain with the Glencairn included.

As for those tasters, there's a couple I wanna try but it's usually the older/rarer ones that take my fancy and I can't convince myself to part with up to £70 for a 3cl dram
I bought that 20Cl bottle and glass last week. Really good bargain given the Glencairn is about £7
Had a dram yesterday 🥃 👍

what about this one...£321 for 3cl
The Balvenie 40 Year Old

😲 That's the most expensive one I've seen.

I was bidding on a selection of bourbon miniatures a couple of month ago but got put off when the price shot up. Mind they were all pearlers, Eagle Rare 17, Sazerac 18, George T Stagg etc. 5 in total from the buffalo trace distillery.

I have the entire BTAC from 2016 open at the moment. Don’t mind sending you some samples if you wish.

Anyone ordered from Passion for whisky ( Dutch site) before ?
Legit ?
Just noticed they have Glenfarclas 105 Litre bottles for 41 Euro's. Delivery slightly higher but there are a few things on there tempted with.

Old Pulteney 12 any good? £24 at Sainsbury's. Going to treat myself before the weekend, nee idea what to get. Love my Islay's but fancy something different

It's average. The abv lets it down and leaves it very thin.

cheers...might as well get that Glenfarclas 105 and see if there is anything else which softens the shipping
Like many of the overseas sites there are some bargains and yet other bottles are really pricey

any recommendations for anything around the £20-25 mark? i'm not an educated whisky drinker, but me and our lass have been through a full bottle of Slane (irish blended) and half a bottle of Highland Park since last week - just by having a large glass each every night.

It’s a difficult price bracket, particularly for those who like their whisky bottled around 46% or above.
Amazon have the Glenfarclas 10 YO on offer at £24.70. It’s not a bad dram for those bottled at 40%.

Edit: Just noticed it’s £9 delivery so not much of a bargain after all
Talisker Skye £26 in Tesco or maybe give Aldi’s Glen Marnoch Islay a go if you want cheaper?

I also recommend the Lidl Ben Bracken Islay or Speyside, both very nice single malts, both £17.49.

Them 3 single Malts that aldi started a few years ago were spot on for us. We're not experienced whisky drinkers like, just enjoy a smooth glass about an hour before bed

Thems the ones. If theres nowt particularly better than them around the £25 bracket I'll be happy to go back to them.

Glen Moray is usually around the £20 mark and can be found in most supermarkets. There are a couple of different expressions at that price point to choose from, I forget what they are exactly but there's a peaty one, standard (unpeated) one etc. For the price they're worth a try

Edit:- I've seen the first 6 here in the supermarkets at one time or another, and at the price point you mention
