What glass do you use though?I know loads on here don't like The Scotch, but are there any whisky lovers out there?
I'm partial to Ardbeg, but have a taste for most of it to be fair.

I once went on a whiskey diet... I lost 3 daysDoes whisky cause amnesia
Or how much we are being ripped off in the regular retail market
Billy Connoly told a good un said a relative who worked in a whisky distillery drowned when he fell in the whiskey vat. Apparently it took him a whole day to drown. It would have been quicker but he had to get out 3 times to go to the toilet !!I once went on a whiskey diet... I lost 3 days
Whisky was undervalued for decades, however I agree it's now gone way too far in the other direction.
deciding whether this weeks purchase should be the Elements of Islay Peat ( full proof one) or try one from Whisky Broker...
Generally swerve on the 50cl bottles as just something in me thinks its a bit of a marketing ”cheat”
I’m reluctant to buy 50cl bottles too. You can get Lagavulin 16 (albeit 43%) for about the same price as the EoIP. Kilchoman Machir Bay could be worth a look too.
Haven't tried them yet, I paid £6.50 for delivery for the 2 bottles. With the Glen Grant, I've used the 'hold for me' option. This lets you get up to 6 bottles shipped once you're ready under the same shipping fee, I've got a feeling I'll be ordering a few over the next couple of months!Did you order a couple last week ? Tried them ?
Was going to order a few myself but might just keep funds for next auction starting at the weekend.
if prices are too steep will buy something from the Whisky broker instead

Send them a message, I'm sure they'll accommodate you.bugger wish I'd done that...just ordered the Glen Garioch and should have let orders build up.
will do that in future.

I bought a bottle of 22 yr Tobermory a couple of year back from these after reading great reviews of some of their bottlings but wasn't impressed at all with it the cask had had little influence on the spirit and none of the sharpness of the spirit had been round off like you would expect of an older bottle, must have been a 2nd or more refill cask, ended up giving the bottle to @bernardbresslaw and he struggled with it and he drinks owt ! ,don't let that put you off though as I've read some great reviews on some of their stuff and well worth a crack at the price you'll not get single cask bottlings anywhere else at the price.
I agree whiskybase is my first port of call when researching a bottleI usually have a look on whiskybase and/or whiskyfun to check out possible purchases. I don’t take the opinions there as gospel but certainly informative.

have you got any left ?
Sure I've seen a version of this in asda?I managed to get hold of some imported buffalo trace, the 45% stuff Unreal, you used to get it over here as standard once over but they changed it to 40% and although still nice it's nowhere near as nice. I fell in love with bourbon after first trying this
It'll be the 40% stuff. (still lush) The 45% stuff looks exactly the same, other than it's abv is stated as 45% obviously, and it's miles better than the already nice 40% stuff IMHOSure I've seen a version of this in asda?
